I thought I would make a thread dedicated to all of us waiting for an Acceptance letter, NET results, or even for those of you who are done waiting....getting ready to start up NS soon! Let's all band together and support one another in these stressful times~ no one understands us better than each other! Go future nurses!!!!
Thanks so much! I bet you'll get in just fine. Yuck, organic chem....thats harsh that you have to take that! We had to take basic chem..thank goodness. It's so weird, but I found out I got in through emailing my counselor about where the letters were and she just flat out told me I'd get an acceptance letter...and she's like "congratulations" and all, and I'm super super excited, but until I actually see the letter in front of me, I just am having a hard time believing it all. I still don't know which program I got into (as I applied to the schools regular BSN program, as well as their Accelerated BSN program)..but either way, I'm happy. Good luck!

I am so happy for you! Congratulations!
I am still waiting for May to come so I can find out if I was accepted. It will be a long Spring!:icon_roll
Just had to say... you know what, all? I want this so bad. Nurses are my heroes right now. I'm reading Echo Heron's book Tending Lives and I'm just in awe. (and occasionally pretty intimidated and freaked out). DH is still not so sure we can make this happen, even if I just go to the local community college for an ASN instead of the Accelerated BSN program at the private university I want to go to (and have been *accepted* to). It's that darn business of keeping the mortgage paid, and paying on the debts. He doesn't believe he can make more cash than the $1000/month he's making now.
Hello all--I just found this thread and think that it is a great idea! Congrats to all those that have been accepted and to all those still waiting...I know the feeling.
I have all of my core and pre-req's. I am finishing my micro class right now and have sent in my applications to 2 schools for the fall. I should find out by May if I am accepted. I have good admission scores for both. :nuke:
I just got a job at a local hospital as a patient transporter for the medical imaging department. I am excited cause this is my first job in healthcare. And I can't wait to get started. I had orientation this week and I start the actual job on Monday.
Good luck to everyone still waiting!!

Your screen name cracked me up! Welcome and good luck! Congrats on the new job, too.
Oh wow...congrats to you Friendly Ghost!!! I'm still waiting...I think the offers of admission are released March 31st. I'm toying with the idea of applying to a school out of town, but...I really, really don't want to move...and it's too far for commuting.
I know I may make a couple of people gag here, but I loved my chemistry courses, especially Orgo!! I don't know why, I think I'm just a dorky nerd!
I'm in pre-nursing at my local University as of Jan. 2008. Since I have a BS in management, I can get into the accelerated program IF I take six classes and get all As. So far I am taking two classes to warm up and have managed to get the As. I will have four classes after this and I'm worried if I can do this. Classes that didn't transfer that I have to take are Sociology, Psychology, A nursing health class. I have to also take a Chem. class and I've never had Chem. My worry is that I'll be 48 in a couple months. Am I too old? I need honest opinions. This is something I've always wanted to do but do I have it in me?

That is great, Friendly Ghost! Congratulations! I am happy for you.
The thread did get a little quiet. My obsession with the wait is only broken up by the misery of organic/biochem. It keeps me woefully distracted - though I am going to be so upset if I have taken this class for nothing and don't get in.
Yeah for you!!! Enjoy.
