I thought I would make a thread dedicated to all of us waiting for an Acceptance letter, NET results, or even for those of you who are done waiting....getting ready to start up NS soon! Let's all band together and support one another in these stressful times~ no one understands us better than each other! Go future nurses!!!!
Hello to ALL! I am new here - so glad I stumbled upon this site! I am currently taking my prereqs... I only have 1 more class to go! I'm hoping to get into the August class.. I am 34 w/ 3 kids and scared to death! LOL! I hope I can handle full time class and family.. I suppose hubby will have to help.. LOL! I decided to go the LPN route. I will graduate in June (if I get into Aug. class) Then I will work at hospital and take their RN class (they pay) .. So we will see! Look forward to hearing from you!
Hi all! I think this board was a great idea~ I am also waiting on the potentially life changing acceptance letter ,my school uses points system and only accepts the top 60 w/ 6 alternates..( this is the sticky part because it ranges from class to class year to year , last year the points ranged from 51 to 73 but other years the lowest has been in the 60's , right now I have 54 , the most I could possibly have for the amount of time I have been in school so my fingers are crossed very tightly at this point) in the mean time I am a full time student who has covered not only pre-reqs but many of the other courses needed to complete my RN AAS degree ( things like Eng 102 , and A&PII that are noramlly done within the program itself) I was advised by several RN's to have as much general ed done as possible before acceptance so once in RN classes that was all I would have to focus on.
I wont know til about the end of the first week of May, that is when letters go out to accepted and alternates, so time seems to really be dragging for me right now LOL!
Congrats to those already accepted and best of luck to those like me still waiting....
Hey everyone!
I'm also waiting for my acceptance (hopefully!) letter, which should come in in about 3 weeks, and I've NEVER felt this nervous or anxious about anything before in my entire life!
I just got my NET results in yesterday, which seriously felt like the weight of a huge boulder had been taken off of my shoulders. I feel somewhat better now, but this is gonna be a LONG 3 weeks!
Good luck to everyone still waiting and congrats to everyone who made it!!
Thanks to those of you who just joined! It does feel like forever when you are waiting for your letter! But I can tell you once you are accepted it makes all that waiting worth it! Plus, when you get that you will also get a bunch of paperwork you have to have filled out by a certain date, so you don't have time anymore to be anxious or nervous, because you have to get everything done on time! That's where I'm at now. I've got a lot of appointments to make by tomorrow for the urine drug screening, CPR class, physical, check off on all my immunizations, and all that good stuff. I can't wait to start. I'm ready for the challenge ahead. I have faith that all of you still waiting will get great news. My goodness, by the time some of you get your acceptance letters, I will be starting classes !! Crazy! Good luck everyone, and keep in touch!
I'm applying next week and I'm stressing over my TEAS test. I've never wanting anything more than an acceptance letter. (Well....I wanted my divorce to be finalized more.....but) LOL
I have all my pre-reqs and co-reqs done so if I don't get in, I just have to sit and do nothing while I wait for the next application period to start. Bleh!
I should be ok if I get at least mid 80's on my TEAS. Hopefully!!!! Congrats to everyone that is in =)
Hi, I'm new. I just applied to 3 schools and I still have to take the NET for one of them. Thankfully I already survived the NLN. I just got an interview for one of the schools this Wednesday and I'm so nervous. Between the tests, interview, and just waiting, I don't think I've ever been so stressed in my life. Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted and good luck to the rest of us still waitng! :nuke:
Greetings Everyonel!!! I got my acceptance letter to one of the local community college (Spring 09). I have an opportunity to move to Fall '08 if a slot becomes available. I have to wait till after April 15th to find out about the other community college I applied to which if accepted I'll start this Fall '08. I'm anxious to find out so I'll know when to turn in my resignation letter at my job. I can't wait to start nursing school. It has been a long hard road for me. I just turned 38 was a single mom to a great son who is now 17 up till this past Dec when I married a wonderful man who loves and supports us. I could only take one or two courses at a time (sometimes I had to take a semester or two off). I'm taking A&P II and my last psychology (I still have to take a math and computer class, but the hard part is almost over).
Sounds good Jugre! You'll start the week before me...so we definately will be there for each other throughout our programs!! I'm excited now. It's nice having someone to stay in touch with throughout...whose in the same spot as me! Good luck, and keep in touch for sure!
