Looking to relocate/New graduate positions in GA
Thanks so much notqueenb for the leads. I'm definitely going to call these places. Plus, my stepfather just told me he has a friend who is a manager at Grady memorial.

Looking to relocate/New graduate positions in GA
Thanks Faith for responding and the congratulations. I started applying in February. Jobs in Maryland are really tight too. I have looked throughout Maryland. I can't really go too far out because I have a daughter and I'm a single mother. So many hospitals are not even accepting new grad applications. I have applied to at least 12 hospitals in Baltimore and the surrounding counties. I haven't even received one call for an interview. There are like 8 + people going for one position. I looked into long term care, but many of them do not take new grads. Lets see what else clinics, schools and rehabilitation. It is very frustrating to have worked so hard in school and not reap the benefits of it.

Looking to relocate/New graduate positions in GA
Hello all. I'm a May 2010 RN graduate. I currently live in Baltimore, Md and having a hard time gaining employment. My mother lives in Hampton, GA, which is in Henry county. She really wants me to move down there, but I'm worried I'll have the same problem down there. I know jobs are scarce everywhere, but I just wanted to know if any new grads down there are having a really hard time as well finding a job. Thanks for your replies

Has anyone gone through University of Maryland RN-BSN program?
I'm interested in the online program as well. I was also considering Walden University. I did an unofficial transcript eval with them. I don't need to fulfill any extra pre-reqs, tuition is $260/ credit hr and the program is only 18 months. Classes are every 6 weeks, one class at a time. I am really considering Walden, but wanted to look into other options. With UMB, I am four pre-reqs short and they are $359/per credit hr. I am just trying to get some reviews from people about both schools to get some what of an idea. I know that there are a lot of papers involved and I am a little worried because I do not write well.

Has anyone gone through University of Maryland RN-BSN program?
I am a new graduate and looking to return to school in Fall. Has anyone gone through UMB's RN-BSN program/currently enrolled? If so, could you please share your experience with me. Did you find it hard or easy to balance school, work and a family? Were there a lot of papers? How were the instructors? Any information would be helpful?

Walden University RN-BSN
I am a new graduate and looking to return to school this fall for my BSN. I'm considering Walden University. Is there anyone out there that has completed or is currently enrolled in Walden's RN-BSN course. If so, please share your experience with me. I am on the fence between this school and the University of MD. I am not a good writer and a little concerned about that, as I know there will be plenty of papers. Thanks in advance for reading and replying.

TEAS test for CCBC
I would suggest purchasing the study guide from the bookstore. It was very helpful to me. I took the test in the spring of 2008. From what I can remember math was the hardest section and the longest. I also attend a math workshop. Get the book. The book's problems are very similar to the actual test. Hope this helps. Good luck.

NCLEX question for nursing graduates
Thanks so much akmegs2. Congrats on graduating:yeah: and I wish you the best on successfully passing the NCLEX. I heard that there was like a five to six month wait because a review session is mandatory. That didn't sound right to me. Have you heard how long the review sessions generally run?

NCLEX question for nursing graduates
I am a nursing student at CCBC Catonsville. I have a year left and I am curious about how soon after you finish school do you take the NCLEX. What exactly happens once you graduate? What is the process?
