ADN or BSN
Where I am at, I have heard that starting pay for ADN and BSN is little difference. I chose to do the ADN because I need to get my RN asap. I figure that once I am working, I can do an accelerated BSN if I want to to get the extra pay. I have also been told that you have to have a BSN in order to have any sort of management position. But I don't necessarily want to be in mgt. any time soon, so that is okay with me. :wink2: I would love to know if anyone else has any insight into this too.

Pre-Nursing "Support" Group
Hello all--I just found this thread and think that it is a great idea! Congrats to all those that have been accepted and to all those still waiting...I know the feeling. I have all of my core and pre-req's. I am finishing my micro class right now and have sent in my applications to 2 schools for the fall. I should find out by May if I am accepted. I have good admission scores for both. :nuke: I just got a job at a local hospital as a patient transporter for the medical imaging department. I am excited cause this is my first job in healthcare. And I can't wait to get started. I had orientation this week and I start the actual job on Monday. Good luck to everyone still waiting!!

Taking A&P in the summer, is it hard?
I took A&P I in the summer and thought that it was difficult but manageable. I liked it because I didn't really have time to forget the material and it all flowed together easily. It was difficult because it was so much info to cram into such a short time. I got a B in the class and just finished the regular sememster A&P II class with a B also. I think that if it works out best for your schedule, go for it. Just be prepared to study hard. good luck!

A&P I Summer 2007
hi to all!! this is my first post, and i must say that i have enjoyed catching up and appreciate all the great pointers! i have 3 weeks left of a&p i and i can not wait to be finished! i made it through my firsst pactical with a b and am happy with that. i have to agree with the person that said to figure out how everything goes together and associate everything with something else, because that has seriously helped me to retain more information in such a short time. i also have the anatomy & physiology coloring workbook (princeton review) and it has definitely been a good study tool! i even made copies before coloring to make worksheets that i go do several times. it helped a lot. good luck to those that are hanging in there with me and congrats to those that have finished!
