  1. Sure..go ahead and close this one!:)
  2. Hey everyone! I am half way through my A&P I course..it's an 8 week course. So far I have an A..but it is very time consuming. I agree with everyone else..do not get behind..stay on top of everything and understand what is going on..just don't memorize. It is also very easy..especially on practicals to make stupid mistakes..so read every question carefully when taking exams! On average..I probably spend at least 3-4 hours a day studying..reading the material. Good luck everyone!:)
  3. Merrick... 7 am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel your pain!!! I thought 8 am was bad enough!:) I'm right there with you..I am sooooo not a morning person too! Good luck..lol.
  4. I want to start a sticky A&P I Summer 2007 for those of us tackling it!:) I start in two weeks.. M-Th 3hours every morning!
  5. Roxxy... OMG...we are in the exact same situation!!!!! I too am debating whether to take A/P in the summer or in the fall with my nursing classes. I work now too, and wonder if I should just enjoy my summer and take the class in the fall, or get it out of the way and take it this summer. I'm sooooooooo torn about this too!
  6. Congratulations!!!!:balloons:
  7. Congratulations for you!!!!:balloons: Yay, Yay, Yay..:) I'm so excited for you...time to go out and buy "nursing stuff"..haha
  8. I'm soooo sorry for you! I can't believe you have a 4.0 GPA and didn't get in. I would definitely call your advisor or the director of the program and talk to them about it. I'm sure it has to do with your prerequisites and not your TEAS score and GPA. Don't give up..it took me a year to get in even though I already had a bachelor's degree and a 4.0 GPA because I hadn't taken A&P and I had to take Chemistry again because it had been longer than 5 years! I too was heartbroken but the past year has flown by. Let us know what happens..we are all here for you!
  9. My college bases acceptance on two things: 1. Your GPA + your science GPA(multiplied by 2) 2. Score on TEAS entrance exam I had a 4.0 total GPA, a 4.0 science GPA and scored well on the TEAS exam. I think the lowest GPA/science GPA score was a 3.5 at our school.
  10. Katie, It's not as bad as I thought..especially the reading and english..very easy..with the english make sure you know when to place a comma, semicolon and colon. The reading was just like in the studyguide. As long as you studied the studyguide..the math should be easy for you. Know your metric conversions like kg to ounces, cups to gallon..all of those. There were a couple of questions on the math that weren't in the studyguide..I got a 95 on the math even with those two questions I didn't know how to do! Also..know your geometry and mean, mode, median. The science was the hardest part for me..I only had two A&P questions on my test. There was a lot of reasoning questions, basic chemistry, density, and physics questions. Basically except for the science..if you studied the studyguide, you will more than fine..I got over a 90% on all of those sections. Just study the science portion..don't stress over anatomy though..and it may be wise to look at some basic physic or chemistry websites! Some of the things, I hadn't studied since high school..and that's been awhile for me..I'm 31! Anyway..sorry so long:) Feel free to email me if you have any other questions!
  11. Congratulations!!! Isn't it exciting..I found out yesterday!:) That figures it comes when you didn't check the mail!!:)
  12. I took my TEAS yesterday morning and found out that I got accepted into the program!!! I am soooooooooo excited, I could burst! I start in August of this year...I can't wait to buy "nursing stuff"..heehee. Good luck to everyone! Renee
  13. Hey everyone..I'm taking the TEAS tomorrow morning and was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas of the types of questions that are on the science section. I took the online assessment and some of the questions weren't in the study guide, so I'm a little nervous to say the least! I have posted on the the other TEAS thread, but thought I would start a new thread limited to science questions. If anyone has taken the test recently I would appreciate any help! Thanks!
  14. Yay!! Congratulations!!!!
  15. Hey everyone..I am taking the TEAS this Saturday and I am freaking out about the science portion!! Did anyone take the online exam and how does the science portion compare to the actual exam? Are questions taken from the study guide? Help..I'm so nervous!
