  1. Congratulations!! That's wonderful news :) Did you find out your TEAS score?? I take the TEAS on Wednesday.......anything advice on the test?
  2. Goodluck, Im sure you will do great. I've like memorized this damn studyguide,I dont think I can stud anymore, lol. Anyway, let me know how you did and any tips you can give me, thanks!:)
  3. Wow, Congrats!:) Thats great. I did the online assessment and I scored an 89 composite. To be considered for the program, I need to score in the top 70th percentile. Do you know what percentile your score was??
  4. I have to take the TEAS next week and Ive been studying the study guide for over a month now, I really need to get a good grade on this. Do you think studying the study guide is enough?? Thanks:)
  5. If you really want to be a nurse, you can do it. It may be very difficult, but I have no doubt in my mind you will get through it. Just take it one day at a time and try not to think too far ahead. ALso make sure you have a good support system-family, friends to care for your son if your not there. Im also a single mom, to 2 very young children, ages 4 and 1 year and Im hoping to get into a nursing school next Fall. My almost EX husband has to pay my mortgage for at least the next 1.5 years, but after that Im on my own, only child support. It's going to be rough, but nothing is going to stop me pursuing my dream. I know you can do it!:)
  6. Im taking the TEAS test soon, I purchased the study guide, and came across this thread. So, you need to know ALL the conversions??? How about the formulas?? Are there alot of questions about conversions? Thanks for the help.
  7. thank you guys, i really appreciate it. tomorrow is my teas exam finally. i am so scared, i get the results tomorrow right after i complete the exam. need to get a 70 percent. well i will let you know tomorrow. wish me luck! lizzy:uhoh21: did you end up taking the test??how did u do? i take the test probably within the next month and started to study a few days ago. any advice would be greatly appreciated!!:)
  8. Are there alot of conversions?? Im using the study guide and there are a TON of formulas and conversions..are those on the test?
  9. What kind of metric conversions where on the test? Im awaiting the study manuel that I ordered. . .
  10. Im going back to college Fall of this year and planning on taking A&P I for the second time and I really want an A. Here's a little background: I took the class the first time around when I was 20, I skipped classes and didnt study much and of course I failed. I didn't take college seriously and it showed. Fast forward 6 years, I'm married, almost divorced and have 2 children. Im really nervous about A&P, if I dont succeed I will have to give up being a nurse because this class is a must. Im really determined to get through this, I want it very badly. Is there hope for me?
  11. Good idea...I have actually thought about a PLan B, but have yet to come up with one....hopefully something will come to me!
  12. This thread has helped me a lot. I am SOO afraid of taking the TEAS, I actually ordered the study guide and online assessment today. The school Im trying to get into requires that you score in in the 70th percentile or above. Im not very good at standardized testing, I only took the ACT and scored a 21, which is average. Im studying my butt off for the TEAS, I really need this!:)
  13. I was in the same situation, trying to decided between LPN and RN. Ultimately I decided to focus on my goal, which was to become an RN. None of the LPN credits would apply to an RN, so it was like a year wasted to me. It was very tempting to get done in a year with the LPN because I need a career/money, but in the long run it just wasn't the right decision. I can suffer for an extra year because there are more benefits for me. I think it is worth it to go the extra year, there are more job opportunites for an RN and better pay...Hope this helps and goodluck!:)
  14. Ok, I need to purchase a study guide for the TEAS test and dont know which one to get-the one from ATI or the other website that was posted on here-someone claiming they can help with the TEAS. I need all the help I can get after being a SAHM for 4 years! HAs anyone had luck with either one? Thanks!
  15. CilliansMommy06, Just wanted to tell you I am right there with you Re: The TEAS test. I have to take this to even be considered for acceptance into the diploma program. I have looked over the info. on the test and it seems soo overwhelming and soo much information to learn. Best of luck to you on this test, look over the website and study hard-thats what Im going to do!:) Wen do you test??
