[color=#cc66cc]hi maritza thanks for writting back. you just made my day. i have know one here in miami, i am originally from nyc and my whole entire family is either in nyc or in cuba. i am here in miami with my fiancee. all my friends which are my supporters are all in nyc. i have been in miami for about 1 year trying to get in the nursing program in mdc. i have a ba degree in health administration and i completed also 2 years of biologys which include the microbiology and anatomy and physiology. i am just so nervous i passed the nln entrance exam and i kind of don't really believe it that i really got excepted yet. i am in the application process and gatheing all my referals and transcripts, than they should interview me. how is the interview at mercy hosp? what kind of questions do they ask? how are the uniforms at mercy for the lpn? also did you go and continue for your rn? what is the salary for lpns in miami. well sorry for all the questions its that i am so nervous. i wish i can go ahead and study before classes start but don't know what to study with. hope to hear from u soon! lisette

hey thanks for the information. i am so excited to start. i have been depressed w/ all this nursing stuff. i been trying to get in the accelerated program of rn at mdc but w/ the competition. i decided to the lpn. being that i am also a single mom i have a 10 yr old daughter it is very hard. i currently work at jackson memorial hospital. i would like to attend the day classes and will have to leave my job i guess. how do you do it with your job and school? well hope to hear from you soon. liz

Hi , I also thought the same thing No Robert Morgan students.. Well as for myself what happen was I took the TEAS to get in the program on Feb and failed the language part by 2 points. I did pass the Math and Reading. I already schedule to take the language part only on Aug 29th. I ahve been studying alot. But anyways how long do you have left? How are the Teachers at your school? How are the Hw assignments? I already completed Anatomy and Physiology in college so hopefully I can be exempted from that class. What are the first classes that they give you? no price is the same for everyone. $24k but you know Its worth it cuz the transition to rn should be easier... liz

i start medvance in sept 07, in miami. They are preety nice, but expensive.

Well I can tell you that it is not a public school this is a private school. The cheaper schools here in miami, there is a waiting list and it is tioo crazy to get in. I mean if you want something sometimes its not the price but you want for yourself. You have people that spend there mony in Cigarettes and Alchol and if add all that up in a year its more than the school. For me its worth it, all the attention and a smaller setting.

Program is 16 months. Hours are from any where between 7-5. But really depends....STudy you r math, fractions, decimals, adding, subtraction, some measurements like Gallons Ounces etc....you can get the book at barnes and nobles...its the NLN entrance exam study guide. Im sure you can get it at Amazon.com for cheaper. Science, Biology like body parts plants, a little bit of physics not too much though. Reading learn your Nouns , adjectives , verbs, definitions....really easy test.Not that bad.Jus remember you need to do this quick because they only take a certain amount of students per class. Are you planning to work while going to school because the program is full time. Where are you living now? LIZ;)

Hi, well the LPN program is $24,ooo. They have financial aie. All you need to do is take the NLN exam and score a 60% percentile. I don't know if thats good but the test was not that bad i got a 70% percentile. Consist of MAth, Science, and reading. Try to call the one located in the miami area. Thay will not talk to you about price. You have to come in. Try to do it early. The school is small, and thats what I like the most. Can y ou let me know the website where you found that statistic.

Thanks for your response. Do you have any idea from a 3.1 if I get A's or B's how much do you think that my GPA will increase to. I have been trying to figure that out. I am only going to take Chemisrty to be able to concentrate more on this class. Im mostly a A or B student. Lets see.... LIZ
