Published

Sorry for the caps, but please post your study method and list the books you used..Thank you..

hi guys... according to my friend who took the nclex, you can't mix two books with different points of view, you get what i mean? always read a book that has the same view... saunders ... she said could do, just keep readding all the time.

hi kaye.... thanks again... for everything, got a friend who recently passed and that's what she told me, i'd count for what the 2 of u told me. thanks a lot!

I did the online course thru NCSBN and used Saunders Comprehensive RN review book/disc.

I especially found the Mosby's CAT online test excellent and helpful.>>

I just purchased this today and took a test, ugh. :( The score was not good. I guess I need to direct my attention to one thing. I've gone between Mosby's, Saunders, 3500 facts, etc... Maybe I'll move the test date to a farther date.

KAPLAN Q BANK!!! Same format of questions (even same font) as NCLEX. Don't pay for the classes just do the Qbank and Trainer Tests. Took NCLEX shut off at 75 and I it made the NCLEX easy (so easy I thought I must have failed). Also had Suanders for back up info when I needed additional study.

Specializes in Geriatric and now peds!!!!.

I used Saunders, and NCLEX Made Incredibly Easy (for the LPN NCLEX). As soon as I graduated I started studying 2 hrs a day. I alternated both books, and took tons of the practice tests on CD. I took my test June 5th and passed!!!

I used the NCLEX made Easy Q&A book, along with Mosby's flashcards. I did approximately 3000 questions before I took the NCLEX.

Kaplan Q Bank or NCSBN???

I've got 4 weeks before the NCLEX PN and not quite sure where to begin my studying! I've purchased some preparation materials, but fear that they are outdated in reference to the NCLEX testing format.

 I think this thread must be sticky! for those that recently pass the Nclex PLEASE LET us know which study book did you used? ;)

:welcome: all your thoughts! actually i am using Saunders, Kaplan & Lippincotts are these good enough? I've been reading about Mosby's, Davis & NCSBN ARE good too. Please let us know.. Thanks!

I took the Kaplan review class, used the Kaplan NCLEX-RN exam 2005-2006 Edition CDs, did a couple of the online Kaplan tests, and did the tests only on NCSBN. I found the content review on NCSBN tedious and tiring so I skipped thru all of it. I also took a few tests on a Saunders CD a friend gave me. I never even took the plastic off my Saunders books.

I finished the NCLEX in less than an hour with 75 questions.

Edited to add: I believe you should pick one or two study aids and stick with them. I can't see jumping back and forth between the different study materials as very helpful...seems like it would get confusing to me.

From what I saw of Saunders, NCSBN, and Kaplan I found Kaplan most like the NCLEX.

hi.. though i haven't taken it yet.... my friend told me, who was out of nursing career for 15 years, said... she read only saunders q and a... and reviewed in urc... if you're from the phils. that's all.
