Here are the exact steps to see if you passed the NCLEX exam on the Pearson Vue web site.

Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.
This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.

Waiting is pure agony, isn't it? I'm wondering if this situation has ever happened to anyone else... I took the NCLEX-RN July 2nd with a few former classmates. On Saturday, their names wore on the BRN site with licenses. Mine didn't show up, however, I keep getting the "good" pop-up when I try the PVT. I finished in 75 questions and am almost 100% sure I got my last question correct (and it was a patient priority question... passing level, right?). I'm losing my mind. Help!!!
KML 1030, yea waiting is horrible! BUT if you got the good pop up then just wait for them to update your RN status. :)
Ortizz184: I used a lot of things to study. I took the Kaplan course and did about 80% of their question bank. I needed more content review so I bought the Saunders NCLEX-RN review book because it goes over the content and quizzes you at the end of each section on what you learned. I also bought the ATI NCLEX App for the iPhone, so every chance I could I would practice questions. I suggest doing a lot of practice questions, I did about 1500 (might be a low number compared to what other people do) by the time I took the exam. I got a lot of SATA, I also got put this in order, select the correct picture, and some math. My exam pretty much had everything. Good Luck, Hope this helps! :)
Hello All,I took the NCLEX exam today, and 30 minutes later I tried the PVT. I got the good pop up.....BUT now I'm wondering if I did the PVT too soon. Do you have to wait a certain amount of time to do the PVT?
Thanks in advance for your reply :)

I take my nclex test on July 17, 2012 so I will let everyone know if this "trick" actually works. I live in Ohio and should get my official results the next day but I will try this "trick" as soon as I get done taking the test. I do have friends that have taken their nclex test and they were not able to get to the credit card screen and re-register and they found out they all passed so for them the "trick" worked but if you think about it, this really isn't a "trick" it only makes sense that if you passed you wouldn't be allowed to re-register because you have already passed and if you failed doesn't it make sense that you are allowed to re-register. I will let you all know what my outcome is.
I took NCLEX-RN today. I tried to re-register and it says "our records indicate you have recently registered for this exam. Please contact a board member" or something like that. I had 75 questions and did not feel good at all about it. I trust the PVT just unsure of what the good popup actually says.
