Here are the exact steps to see if you passed the NCLEX exam on the Pearson Vue web site.
Updated:
Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.
This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.
Poll to take once you have received your response:

Silverdragon, you mean you have seen people wait for 6 weeks before their name appears on the BRN website in Cali?
Just wanting to clarify - all I have seen posted is 48 hrs fastest, and 6-8days....My IP permit is still valid up there on the site, so hoping that is a positive sign to back up my PVT pop-up....and I needn't stress!? But as each day goes by, anxiety amplifies to the power of 10!
Thank you!
During the test I felt so freakin nervous I had to try very hard to not sh*t myself when the clock began ticking. My heart was beating so fast so hard I was sure it would jump out of my mouth at any time. When that blue screen came up after 75 questions I was incredulous. I felt severely unprepared and had rushed scheduling the exam due to a job I had lined up. I kept thinking failing NCLEX = no job. I had worked sooooo hard to get a position lined up at my dream hospital, my dream specialty and they transformed into ginormous weights bearing down on my shoulder. I had also crammed for EVERY SINGLE EXAM during nursing school and felt that all I really learned from nursing school was ABC’s and ADPIE.
It took me over 3 hours to complete 75 questions. (LOL I reeeeally took my time). I took my first break at 39 questions… went to the bathroom, had a glass of water and then the second break at 60 questions. I figured, if the exam kept going after 75, it just wasn't meant to be and I'd probably have to rush through the rest of the exam with little time I had left. I just wanted to make sure I really took my time answering each and every question because I realized that I scored lower on practice exams with time limits (I felt rushed) than the ones on study mode with no time limit.
I kept getting SATAs…. Those ******* SATAs!! Forgive me for my French but they were so eeeeeeeeeevil. I think I had somewhere between 20 – 25 SATAs on my exam. TOO MANY. WHY SO MANY?! WHY MEEE? I wanted to puke.
It worked for me! I took the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians exam yesterday morning at a Pearson Vue location. Within 15 minutes of finishing, I logged on to the PV site and it said I was not authorized to reschedule the exam. About 5 hours later, I officially found out that I passed! Woohoo! :)
I took the NCLEX-RN yesterday morning. I had all 265 questions and cried the entire way home (including the added 30 minutes stuck in traffic!) I did the PVT about 2 hours or so after I took the exam. I got the good pop up but of course I was sure that I was the one person who it doesn't work for. As of this morning though I am a registered nurse! The Pennsylvania board of nursing doesn't mess around! My license was listed on the website at 10:00 am today!! I am now a firm believer in the PVT I'm just glad I won't ever have to use it again!!
I sincerely hope the PVT fails in my favor. I took the NCLEX-RN for the 4th time this morning, got cut off at 75 questions, felt ok about it but still unsure. There were questions on there that I knew and was hopeful for a few minutes until I checked pvue. I tried to re-register and got taken to the cc screen again, AGAIN!!! I plan on checking the quick results as soon as they are available, gotta reschedule asap. I posted a topic thread that was asking if anyone's interested in starting a study group, but haven't received any responses.
I am so heartbroken that I have to study again for the next 6 weeks or so. I don't know what to do, I got mostly mid 70's on my saunders exams, an 80 last night....got lots of questions right in Kaplan, and reviewed everything that I could imagine. I have to pass this test, I am due to have my baby mid September. I have one more chance to take it before he is born and I am exhausted both mentally and physically with this process. Humph, there's my rant.

I am sorry if you have failed again I would urge you not to rush to resit the exam. I understand you have a baby on the way and you already admit to being exhausted so rushing to sit exam is not going to help

Hey Jay!! I sent you a PM on an update. Also go to this thread and click on page 3 to read my update. I did a lot of investigation today and talked to both my evaluator who handles my file at the CA BRN and along with a rep from pearson vue and found out why those of us who tested since 7/18 haven't had our names show up on the BRN website.
