  1. I registered for the teas today and it was $115. I hate that I took it 5 years ago and now have to take it again. Good luck to you!
  2. With the challenge exams and materials that you purchased and CPNE, how much would you estimate you paid out of pocket? Did you take out loans, pay as you went, or did you get employer assistance? Thanks.
  3. I'm still here...I looked back to see when I first posted on this thread and it was July. I'm in Level 2 now...7 months down, 11 to go
  4. I would wait until you don't have so many factors against you, honestly. I have full husband support and don't work and still want to quit weekly lol. Its just a lot. Get your GPA up and squirrel away a bit of money and then go for it. Look at that baby everyday knowing that's who you're doing it for! Good luck, whatever you decide
  5. Thanks JustBeachyNurse. Are there any other places I can take Information Lit presently?
  6. under tuition on the EC website? Thanks
  7. I got a lengthy email back from admissions that was generally helpful. What I am wanting to know is if I can take those two classes while still in LPN school. The rep from EC said No, but, I don't understand why I couldn't take them if I said I was listed as a non degree seeking student.
  8. I'm looking at the info and I feel dumb lol. $305 for an exam, but, how much is the material to study for the exam? Also, for the gen eds that don't have an exam, what is the format like for the courses? Are they self paced? Thanks
  9. I am attending LCCTC (Lebanon County CTC) and its going really well.
  10. If you want it bad, enough, you will make it happen! I am 39, have 5 kids and one stepchild living with us. My hubby has a ft job plus is in the national guard. I work pt as an aide and attend an 18 month program. My schedule is 2-9:30 T/W/Th. I drop our youngest off at pre k at 12:15, so I head to school then to get an hour of studying in before class starts. My only regret is that I put this dream off so many years
  11. They are not allowed to skip, but, that doesn't prevent them from acting like they know it all and protesting having to do "aide work" in clinicals.
  12. I a in your shoes. About 3/4 of my class are experinced CNA's and then there are the rest of us lol. If the teacher is willing to spend extra time helping you, take full advantage and learn al ou can!
  13. On good days, I want to go all the way for my BSN, on overwhelming days I feel I will be happy just to survive the next 16 months. Just take it day by day and you will graduate before you know it. Then you will know if you want to go for your rn or not. Hang in there!
