I wanted to give a quick update to the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) 2017. While looking for if the "trick" still worked, I didn't see much updated info, and wanted to hopefully alleviate some stress on new grads. I took NCLEX Jan 10th 2017, and got all 265 questions. I started at 8am and finished around 11am. I came home and cried my eyes out thinking I failed, because I assumed getting all the questions was a bad thing. Long story short I tried the PVT by trying to reregister for nclex at about 2pm (I told myself I was going to wait until the next day, but I just couldn't!). I used a current credit card, but put in the incorrect exp date and cvc. I got the "good popup" but wasn't convinced. The good pop up says something about you have already registered for the test blah blah and will not take your money. I tried again later in the evening, maybe around 6ish and got the same result. I was slightly more hopeful, but still not convinced. In Wisconsin we have an OLAS application website I checked also, and next to my nclex results it turned green and said met. At exactly 8am the next day I got the official email from the State of Wisconsin that I had passed, and contained my RN number. I also bought the quick results which said pass.... Soooo long story short the PVT worked for me in 2017!
Hello, wanted to update on PVT cause I did want to say that it does indeed work! I took my NCLEX in CA on 7/10 with 86 Qs. By time I walked downstairs in my car had email from Pearson that I finished exam and what to expect. I found another online forum and youtube video that said I had to wait to do PVT till that email arrived and then it would be more accurate. I did PVT two hours after I finished and after receiving email and got GOOD pop up. My other friends also did PVT that same time and we all got good pop ups.
We used an expired credit card and it gave good popup, so I do not think it matters about what card you use for good popup etc. Either way, BRN uploaded our licenses at 1:45am on 7/12 and mine got uploaded a little later at 2am. So I think PVT trick works still! Most of our cohort who has taken it has passed and have all got good pop ups!
HELP!!! I just took the NCLEX! Shut off in 75 questions...... Did the PVT when I got home and did PVT trick.... Got the good pop up... Freaking out! Hoping it means I passed......Please just talk or type me down!!
Just took the NCLEX this morning at 8AM. I did the PVT at 2PM (6 hours later) and got the GOOD POPUP! 85 questions in 1 hour 15 min. I had ALOT of SATA questions. It felt like more than 50% of them were SATA. And it was HARD! But I have been told that's a good thing. I also didn't care at all about the research questions. Just clicked on random ones. At that point, I wasn't going to answer any more!!!
In regards to the credit card info... I used a similar exp date and cvc number so it didn't charge me just in case!! I got the message "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time". Hopefully this is good news!
Hey..I am in New York State...has anyone been able to see their name on the Registry shortly after the test? If so, how soon? I took the exam this morning and I am NOT kidding that I don't think I passed. Shut off at 75...and at question #60, it gave me a "break" after only about 90 minutes. Does that mean anything?
Did you just graduate? My DON had my results the next day. Try calling them. Mine chit off in 75. It only took me less than an hour and no breaks. But it might be a time thing. More importantly what kinds of questions did you have? Good luck! Try the PVT trick. It worked for me. I passed!
It does work. I just did my test on Wednesday July 19th 2017 and when i got home i did it and got the good pop up. On Friday i found out i really passed using quick results. I live in Jersey. Just remember to use wrong expiration date n cv code
Did the trick, let me buy a reregistration spot, found out an hour ago I failed. The trick worked. Gutted, but going to get back on the horse and be a second time passer
HI!!! I took my test on a Friday (7/21) at 8AM. PVT is a "good popup". It is now 2 days later (Sunday 2/23) at 2:30PM and STILL NO RESULT!! I am in California. Does anyone hear back or see their name on the license look up on the weekend? Anyone else take it on a Friday and hear back on the weekend??
I just wanted to let you know that PVT works! I am in California and I took the NCLEX on Saturday (7/22/17). I decided to try the trick 24 hours later and got the good pop up, but still not convinced that I passed. After one business day later, I saw my name on the Breeze with the RN title in 5 AM on Tuesday (7/25/17). CA was pretty efficient, only took 1 full business day to post the result.
