  1. I live in New York State and I just took my exam today. I did the work, did over 4000 questions in two months, read all the rationals (even the ones I got correct), know my labs and drug interactions on most prototypes and all the others I saw on questions. I did UWorld, subscribed to NCLEX Mastery, had a Lippencott book for NCLEX-RN with an interactive program with assessment and progress. I charted my progress, focused on my weaknesses, reviewed my strengths..I walked into that exam feeling calm and confident that I had done the work (but still pretty nervous and not cocky). I was assaulted with SATAs, prioritizing (which I think are fun), some math but it kept getting more and more difficult until about the 20th question when I could not relate any of the options to the question. there were disorders we did not cover in school...I had a brain infarction...then a few of the questions got easier and I freaked because I thought they were "dumbing down the test" because I SUCKED. I lost all confidence and then at question #60 the screen said I had a break (after just 90 minutes)...what was that about? I was then prepared to do all 265. I returned after a quick glass of water, started the test again with easier questions then it shut off at 75. I felt sick...still am panicking. I feel like after question 20 I was guessing...and I came home and looked up some answers...that I was wrong about...I know I KNOW I failed. So in New York State, we have the Quick answer..after 48 hours...but I am dying to try the PVT...but I just don't think I would trust it. I heard that if your state has the Quick return that you can not do the PVT. Anyone know the answer? And did anyone else hear of someone getting a break after just 90 minutes? Again, I think it was because I was doing well for a while then nose dived...like they thought I needed a break??? If anyone has an answer, I would appreciate your time..Thanks!
  2. Why do they have to "trick " us? Can't they just ask an honest application question..that's plenty hard enough and it's using our critical thinking...tricking us is really not assessing our skills.
  3. Hey..I am in New York State...has anyone been able to see their name on the Registry shortly after the test? If so, how soon? I took the exam this morning and I am NOT kidding that I don't think I passed. Shut off at 75...and at question #60, it gave me a "break" after only about 90 minutes. Does that mean anything?
