I wanted to give a quick update to the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) 2017. While looking for if the "trick" still worked, I didn't see much updated info, and wanted to hopefully alleviate some stress on new grads. I took NCLEX Jan 10th 2017, and got all 265 questions. I started at 8am and finished around 11am. I came home and cried my eyes out thinking I failed, because I assumed getting all the questions was a bad thing. Long story short I tried the PVT by trying to reregister for nclex at about 2pm (I told myself I was going to wait until the next day, but I just couldn't!). I used a current credit card, but put in the incorrect exp date and cvc. I got the "good popup" but wasn't convinced. The good pop up says something about you have already registered for the test blah blah and will not take your money. I tried again later in the evening, maybe around 6ish and got the same result. I was slightly more hopeful, but still not convinced. In Wisconsin we have an OLAS application website I checked also, and next to my nclex results it turned green and said met. At exactly 8am the next day I got the official email from the State of Wisconsin that I had passed, and contained my RN number. I also bought the quick results which said pass.... Soooo long story short the PVT worked for me in 2017!
I heard the BRN in California had a MAJOR technical issue with NCLEXs taken during that week. I know people in my cohort who are still waiting. I think people are just now starting to get their results. I've also read that no news is good news from the BRN. So, I wouldn't worry too much, especially if the PVT has been consistent.
I just took my NCLEX-RN today, it shut off at 75 questions and an hour and a bit later I got the "good" pop up. I'm in CA so no quick results, hoping that I get my results ASAP! One of my classmates took her NCLEX last week and got her license listed on the BRN website two days later, the trick worked for her too. Also, half of my classmates (including me) had issues with the BRN for the week of 6/20 too. Half of our classmates got their ATT issues 6/20, the other half heard nothing. Eventually we called and found out the codes were "lost" after the BRN sent them so they had to resend them. Hoping CA speeds up after that major technical issue!
Hi, I wanted to let you guys know that the PVt is accurate, I took my NCLEX on Jun 20, and I was getting the Good pop up. 21 days later I received my results and I PASSED. I promised my self that when I get my results I will share my experience because this forum helped me a lot and good luck to all of you!!
To echo your latest news, I passed as well. I received my results this morning. For those individuals who took their test June 20th like Kevin and myself, the PVT ("good" pop-up) was indeed accurate in reflecting the results of the test. Whatever the issue was on the BRN's part which resulted in such a long wait, hang in there those still waiting. Good news is on its way.
Took my test this morning. Computer shut off at 75 questions, a little over 2 hours. I had 36 sata questions almost 50% so I had a good felling that I passed. Went home a couple hours later, I got the good popup. Thanks for keeping the trick alive, I will report back when I get the official results. I used Uworld to study which was 100 times harder than the actual test, however it did help prepare me for almost anything the exam had. Good luck and congratulations to everyone that passed.
Took NCLEX on July 10th in Milpitas CA. Thought I failed miserably. I tried the PVT 6 hrs later and got the good pop up after submitting my credit info. I was skeptical but on July 12th I got my results and I passed in 83 questions. The PVT still works.
Took my test on 7-11-17 in Wisconsin and only got 75 questions and was freaking out. About an hour later got the "good" pop up and continued getting it the following morning. Found out I passed yesterday at 4:22!! The PVT works!
