Hey all!
I wanted to give a quick update to the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) 2017. While looking for if the "trick" still worked, I didn't see much updated info, and wanted to hopefully alleviate some stress on new grads. I took NCLEX Jan 10th 2017, and got all 265 questions. I started at 8am and finished around 11am. I came home and cried my eyes out thinking I failed, because I assumed getting all the questions was a bad thing. Long story short I tried the PVT by trying to reregister for nclex at about 2pm (I told myself I was going to wait until the next day, but I just couldn't!). I used a current credit card, but put in the incorrect exp date and cvc. I got the "good popup" but wasn't convinced. The good pop up says something about you have already registered for the test blah blah and will not take your money. I tried again later in the evening, maybe around 6ish and got the same result. I was slightly more hopeful, but still not convinced. In Wisconsin we have an OLAS application website I checked also, and next to my nclex results it turned green and said met. At exactly 8am the next day I got the official email from the State of Wisconsin that I had passed, and contained my RN number. I also bought the quick results which said pass.... Soooo long story short the PVT worked for me in 2017!
So I took the NCLEX today, had to read each question 5 times because I was in a 'stress fog', and was completely a wreck!! To add to my stress, the test stopped at 75 questions with an additional 'experimental' 30 test questions. I literally went home and stayed in bed the entire afternoon. I really needed to know if I passed so I started digging and found the Pearson Vue trick. PLEASE tell me this works. I did it around 5--my test was at 8 this morning. I got the good pop up. Is this for real???
It worked for me and my other 2 friends who just took the exam on 7/24 and 7/25, they got the good pop up and just saw their status on the Breeze as an RN!!! So the PVT definitely worked for us!! I am positive that you have passed since you have gotten the good pop up!! So relax and you should get your result on Breeze after 1 business day if you live in CA!!! Relax and make plan for celebration!!!
Hi. I took the NCLEX-RN exam in California on Thursday, 7/6/17, and I got the good pop up. Three weeks later, I haven't received my official results or haven't seen my name on the Breeze website yet. I last checked the Pearson website yesterday, and I still receive the good pop up stating, "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." The waiting period is making me worried.
Hi all, I took my test today (7/29/17) at 0800, finished by 0945 with 76 questions but haven't received the post NCLEX email from NCSBN with "NCLEX Examinatition Information". Do I need to wait to try the PVT? I am convinced I failed, felt like I knew none of the questions or had heard of half the things they asked, and will lose my job if I did fail...so i'm trying to find a way to calm my nerves (or at least plan how to approach my nurse manager if I didn't pass)
I also took the NCLEX and got all 265 questions. I left the testing site feeling confident that I failed. I had a variety of questions, Lots of questions with pictures. I was saying to myself, what the heck is this. It seemed like most of my questions were on topics I didn't study. I went an entire week feeling anxious. But I vowed to myself that I wouldn't check results until after my birthday. I wanted my birthday to be a good one. Besides I was 100% certain that I had failed. The day before my birthday I was so anxious. I tried the Pearson Vue trick. It didn't let me register but I knew there was no way I passed. So by this time I was even more anxious. I decided to pay the $8 for quick results. I went through the steps and hit submit, then put my hands over my eyes. When I finally got myself together to look at the screen. My God my God, I saw that I PASSED. So don't get bothered by getting all 265 questions on your exam. You can still pass with 265 questions. I DID!!!!!
I am proud to be a Professional Registered Nurse!
Good luck and much success to all who are testing in the near future. Remember you can do this.

The good pop up happens after you sign up for the exam again? Or before?
