Hi Everyone,
First, I just want to thank everyone that comes to this website to share his or her experience. This website literally keeps people alive and going during some tough times. You might not know it, but there are tens of people out there that quote this website each day.
My journey with the Nclex-RN in California started on the 2th of December. I took the Nclex, I went home and tried the PVT, and it gave me the good pop-up. 24 hours and 4 days later, I was still getting the good pop-up. A week passed and no result or license, I was anxious to say the least, as some of my classmates got their license within 48 - 72 hours after taking the exam.
I always came to this website to get some courage as the weeks rolled by. Finally on 31st of December, I got my license. The long wait was over.
My main reason of writing today is that through my experience, I found out that the pearson vue trick is not a trick. It is the way the computer is programmed. If one fails the Nclex, it will take your money or decline your card accordingly (for insufficient funds or being invalid). The so called trick works perfectly.
Secondly, If you live in California, and you get the good pop-up after 24 hours of taking the Nclex, you passed. The waiting time has to do with the BRN taking so much time to process files. Keep strong and keep faith, you will get your license.

Because u already paid for another registration before 24 hours after taking your exam... the pvt won't work for you anymore it might say you have an open registration if tried again despite of it being a pass or a fail.... the best thing you can do now is to wait for the official result... please update us.

When you clicked I agree twice when you submitted your credit card information you agreed to not create a duplicate registration (which you did) and any fees paid are non refundable. You agree twice and its binding. If you pass, you have no recourse to get your duplicate fee back. Sorry.
Most provinces have been releasing results within a week or so

I don't understand why people don't get this. You enter a binding legal contract to pay when you click to agree to the terms. You don't just get to do "take backs" later as if you're in grade school. It clearly states that it's not refundable, so you will not get your money back, period, and you have no right to do so.

It means that you did the trick too early. Your first round of scoring was a "did not pass". You might have been close enough that on the second scoring it will turn to a "pass". So you have either donated $360 cdn to Pearson Vue or you have re-registered for the exam if you failed. Either way the PVT will no longer work for you and you will have to wait for the official results. Best of luck to you.

Yet every now and then someone will snark at us that we're rude because we state the facts and don't go into much in the way of cheerleading (some people just WON'T pass the exam, sorry, but it's the truth). Family is there for you to cry to when you're freaking out, we're here to help explain what you need to do to avoid freaking out in the first place ?
I am still concerned. I took my NCLEX RN at 12 today. My status is still saying, "Results not available." After reading comments of people's status showing, "Delivery successful," I'm wondering if I failed the first scoring? Is that why my results aren't available? I got 162 (or 165) questions.

Read my response to your other post. Results availability has nothing to do with pass/fail only the availability of quick results.

In this case you were lucky it didn't take your money, as you did the PVT too early. If I were you, I'd NOT do it again "just to see if it stays the same". You will risk losing money and gain no actual information.
If your State participates in Quick Results, pay the eight bucks and be done with it.
