skababy69 1 Post Jan 9, 2015 This was my 3rd time taking my Nclex so I was so worried I wasnt going to pass AGAIN! I tested on January 7th, done by 1130 am. Came right home and tried the PVT with my CC. I got the good pop up with the red triangle etc. Although I read here to not worry i may have passed, I was still really nervous but this morning I paid the 7.95 for the Quick Results and got the wonderful news I PASSED! I am so happy and Yes the Pearson Vue trick worked for me! Remember, use an active credit card that has at least $200 available on it and once you click submit, if you get the red triangle, you passed! If the screen takes you to section 3 and a receipt, you failed! Good Luck!

Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time. I just hope it is not Monday before I get my Quick Results. It is driving me crazy! Does anyone know if this worked for someone but then they failed? I am a worrier.

Even if you've passed, you'll get charged again. That's an expensive gamble to take.If you live in a state that allows quick results, it's better to do it that way than risk getting charged for a second exam. (Yes, I know CA doesn't allow quick results)You don't get charged if you pass. You only get charged if you fail.

Good Luck!If you use a card with less than $200, you'll get a "card declined/insufficient funds" notice -- which means they tried to charge your card = fail. I have a $10 VISA gift card that I used (PASSED!) and I've had a couple of classmates use it as well (they both passed as well).

That's an expensive risk to take just because you're anxious to know.

That's why it's wise to use a card with less than $200 on it. If it results in a false result, you're not out any money.
ll13 3 Posts Jan 11, 2015 Hi everyone, just took my NCLEX-PN this morning and cut off at 85. Like majority of everyone who takes this exam I am a ball of nerves right now. I tried the "trick" about an hour after the exam (and again several hours later) and got the "good pop up" about their records indicating that I had already scheduled the exam. Fortunately, Texas participates in the quick results service. However the 48 hour wait is going to drive me insane 😩 I am really hoping that the old trick still works. And congratulations to all you nurses who have recently received your passing results! 😊

Please learn how it works, and you will KNOW what you are looking at when you do the thing!

You're correct, the $200 fee to register for another test is not refundable, and the person who pays this fee much acknowledge on two separate screens that they understand it's non-refundable prior to submitting their payment. If the first score is a fail, and someone jumps the gun with the PVT by doing it too early (AEB these boards, happens A LOT) then they do risk having paid $$ for no reason if they ultimately pass. Those who fail the scoring twice will have had to buy another test anyway, so...not a big deal for them.
