Hi Everyone,

First, I just want to thank everyone that comes to this website to share his or her experience. This website literally keeps people alive and going during some tough times. You might not know it, but there are tens of people out there that quote this website each day.

My journey with the Nclex-RN in California started on the 2th of December. I took the Nclex, I went home and tried the PVT, and it gave me the good pop-up. 24 hours and 4 days later, I was still getting the good pop-up. A week passed and no result or license, I was anxious to say the least, as some of my classmates got their license within 48 - 72 hours after taking the exam.

I always came to this website to get some courage as the weeks rolled by. Finally on 31st of December, I got my license. The long wait was over.

My main reason of writing today is that through my experience, I found out that the pearson vue trick is not a trick. It is the way the computer is programmed. If one fails the Nclex, it will take your money or decline your card accordingly (for insufficient funds or being invalid). The so called trick works perfectly.

Secondly, If you live in California, and you get the good pop-up after 24 hours of taking the Nclex, you passed. The waiting time has to do with the BRN taking so much time to process files. Keep strong and keep faith, you will get your license.

RunnerRN2b2014- I would say "trust it". I went through the skeptical stage hahaha. Check 24 hours after test time and you are safe. I'm in such shock that I think "I don't beleive it. Not until I see it in the mail. What if there is some mistake at the BRN?"

This so called "Trick" is alive and well. I just got 2 classmates that did it. One got her card declined and failed, the other got the good pop-up and passed. This thing is real. It is just the BRN that may hold you up.

I also took my nclex on jan 3rd. My comp got shut off at 110. I tried the pvt and got the pop up saying "our record indicates that you recently scheduled this test another registration can not be make at this time" . I have been trying it every day still getting the same Pop up but noting on the BRN website. Btw I'm from California . Is anybody else having the same problem? Please let me know.

Well, I was in the same shoes a month ago. California BRN is just slow. Call the office all you want, they will not do anything until they get to your file.

I'm quiet sure that you passed. I know that It's hard to believe it, till you actually see it. If you are still getting the good pop-up after 24 hours, you passed. This has never failed.

Hey nursecalif. Yes I been doing Pearsonvue trick at least 3 times a day and still getting the good PPP up . But BRN nothing . How many quesutions did u get on ur exam. You mentioned previously that if u got between 100-199 your result get posted on the 4th day . It's alredy 4 days still nothing. This was my second time taking it . i have been stressing out . Idk what to do . I even called BRN yesterdsy they didn't give me any straight answer.

You passed. The system works like this: The BRN gets the results from Pearson and the computers automatically generates a license for the students within 2 days as long as every other things in the persons' files in the computer checks out and has been duely entered. If those things have not been entered in your file, the computer will not generate a license. This just means that someone has to manually go through your file and enter the necessary information or reconcile any conflicting information before generating a license for you.

The reasons I was given for the computer not generating a license includes but not limited to: 1. Difference in middle name with Pearson Vue and BRN registration (it might just be that one is abbreviated and the other is spelt out). 2. Your Transcript is with the BRN but has not been properly entered in your file in their system. Etc.

During Christmas, they were still manually updating the system files for those that took the exam in November. They are slow. They will get to your file. Officially, they have up to four weeks to give you your results. So right now, they are not going to give you any attention.

Ok thank you very much . That gave me some relief.. I was wondering . This was my second time taking it . Does that has to do anything with and I fgraduated in 2013 .

No. You will get your license when they get to your file. I know it is hard and the anxiety is crazy, but by now you should know that you passed. The license part will come, just keep yourself busy with other things, so you don't go crazy waiting. Congratulations.

I really do not think so. My license was posted on the BRN website by 10:30 AM, but the general thing is that the website refreshes after midnight. From my personal experience, it boils down to when they get to your file, and they have four weeks to do that, which is not easy on the student.

Took NCLEX-RN last week, waiting for the 48 hour Quick Results. In the meantime, I tried the trick. I put in my CC info. And when I hit submit, I got the GOOD pop-up saying "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." And I was NOT charged. It made me feel a little better but I will know for sure tomorrow!

Remember everyone, Pearson changed the "trick" in August of last year. EVERYONE will get to the CC screen. You then have to put in your info and if it doesn't accept it, supposedly you passed, if it does charge your CC, then unfortunately, you failed.
