First, I just want to thank everyone that comes to this website to share his or her experience. This website literally keeps people alive and going during some tough times. You might not know it, but there are tens of people out there that quote this website each day.
My journey with the Nclex-RN in California started on the 2th of December. I took the Nclex, I went home and tried the PVT, and it gave me the good pop-up. 24 hours and 4 days later, I was still getting the good pop-up. A week passed and no result or license, I was anxious to say the least, as some of my classmates got their license within 48 - 72 hours after taking the exam.
I always came to this website to get some courage as the weeks rolled by. Finally on 31st of December, I got my license. The long wait was over.
My main reason of writing today is that through my experience, I found out that the pearson vue trick is not a trick. It is the way the computer is programmed. If one fails the Nclex, it will take your money or decline your card accordingly (for insufficient funds or being invalid). The so called trick works perfectly.
Secondly, If you live in California, and you get the good pop-up after 24 hours of taking the Nclex, you passed. The waiting time has to do with the BRN taking so much time to process files. Keep strong and keep faith, you will get your license.
I just checked my state's BON and i am now officially a RN! Now i can finally have a good night's sleep lol.
And yeah, I forgot to mention I also did the PVT earlier today when I woke up and still got the good pop-up so PVT worked for me. ?

During my test yesterday we had a power outage! This morning/afternoon I got the pop up saying my results were on hold. Then at about 6:30pm (more than 24 hrs after testing) I got the good pop up!!! Still nothing on my BON site, but I'm guessing that was from the delayed results (Probably verifying a incident report about the power outage??) Anyway, I am still not 100% convinced but I'm hopeful! Fingers crossed! I will post if it works for me!

I was sooo nervous at first to do it but I did it about 7 hours after the test, 24 hours later, & til this day LOL I got the "our records indicate" popup. people are saying I passed, but I do not believe it! Lol sucks to be in cali, playing the waiting game with my results.....

Are you still waiting your result? It is already 3 weeks after you you took you test~..I am in CA too. I took the test on 19th. Have your check the bvnpt site, if they post your status on there?
I took my nclex-pn on Friday 2/20/15 and recieved all 205 questions I had checked pearson vue shortly after and
recieved the "good pop-up" its now Sunday and I am still recieving the "good pop up" message. I hope tommorow there will be some information about my result. Can anyone relate to have all of the nclex questions and still pass. Im a first time tester and I am really nervous about the result. Actually, it'll be 2 weeks tomorrow...the bvnpt does not post for LVNs (in advance) we just have to wait, unfortunately
I too had to answer all 265 questions. I passed!!. However, majority of my classmates that have taken the NCLEX-RN have passed at 75 questions. I know it shouldn't matter but has anyone been curious on how that "imaginary line" determined the pass? I'm almost embarrassed to tell people how many questions as they look at me like "woah can't believe you got so many"
Hello, thank you for your help with the pop up guidance, I took Nclex-RN today and the computer cut off after 75 questions but you can't tell if you passed based on that alone, so I followed your instructions with the pop up trick and I received the red triangle stating I cannot reschedule, so I feel 100% that I passed without being noticed from BON.. thanks again, I will come back and update with official results hopefully with the quick results in 48 hours..ttyl I am in Michigan.

Just a quick note: while I totally understand youare nervous and trying to do something to ease the anxiety.....checking the PVT over and over and over isn't going to do a blessed thing for you. Actually, you are lucky the first score was a pass and not a fail, as otherwise you knowingly doing it too early only risked losing $ on that that "looksee". Checking it again and again before 24 hours may be cathartic in some way, but.....it ISN'T going to change until and unless the second score is different from the first. And you won't know that until 24 hours has passed, so.....why are you making yourself nuts?
