First, I just want to thank everyone that comes to this website to share his or her experience. This website literally keeps people alive and going during some tough times. You might not know it, but there are tens of people out there that quote this website each day.
My journey with the Nclex-RN in California started on the 2th of December. I took the Nclex, I went home and tried the PVT, and it gave me the good pop-up. 24 hours and 4 days later, I was still getting the good pop-up. A week passed and no result or license, I was anxious to say the least, as some of my classmates got their license within 48 - 72 hours after taking the exam.
I always came to this website to get some courage as the weeks rolled by. Finally on 31st of December, I got my license. The long wait was over.
My main reason of writing today is that through my experience, I found out that the pearson vue trick is not a trick. It is the way the computer is programmed. If one fails the Nclex, it will take your money or decline your card accordingly (for insufficient funds or being invalid). The so called trick works perfectly.
Secondly, If you live in California, and you get the good pop-up after 24 hours of taking the Nclex, you passed. The waiting time has to do with the BRN taking so much time to process files. Keep strong and keep faith, you will get your license.
Hello all I took my Boards in PA on tuesday I did the trick that evening it took me to credit card page-and the good pop up came up...just found out today I officially passed it works ,also I won't take your money if you passed be cause it doesn't let it go through it stops you!!

Oh for the love of all things holy yes it will take your money if the first of two scorings that take place indicate you failed. It has happened. For the trick to be accurate you need to wait 24 hours so the second scoring is complete. Once the second scoring is complete it appears to be accurate.

But no matter, new grads will continue to come here, find the first thread that says PVT or NCLEX and use their very first post to say "pvt worked for me only 15 minutes after test, it's 100% accurate..etc etc".
And then the ones who got different second scores than first will claim it "didn't work for me". Oh well, we do try!

It can, and it does. When done as you describe, you run the risk of losing money....so, very bad advice.
I don't know if it took anyone's money but it did not take mine wouldn't even process it like I said, although I have heard people say wait 24 hrs...I'm just stating what happen when I did the little trick just to see if it matched the results I would get from PA and it surely it did ...But since everyone is giving advice why not give this Study your NCLEX QUESTIONS READ YOUR RATIONALES -good luck to all and if you choose to use the trick it works!

You stated the first bolded quote as a fact not as your personal experience. The problem with this is someone else might just read your post and think you are accurate in your statement and they might lose money that they desperately need.
Just because it didn't take your money doesn't mean it hasn't happened to others. Your experience is just that...yours.
All that being said, congratulations on your achievment!

It's bolded because FlyingScot put it that way, and has been trying to explain to you why you are NOT giving good advice, why it is NOT helpful to tell people to do the PVT as soon as you did.
Your experience is ONE, and you were fortunate to not be someone who did the PVT incorrectly (as you did) and had to waste $200 "just to see if it worked". In other words, you don't seem to understand you were LUCKY, and that's all....others HAVE lost money, and will CONTINUE to lose money, as long as you and people like you (who make the mistake of thinking they are giving helpful advice) keep doing so.
Your intentions were good. Your advice was bad. Except for the part about studying for the NCLEX, lol, THAT's the best thing you said! ?

It works if you did it right. You did not. You also did not read any of the posts RIGHT BEFORE yours, or you would know why.
I took my NCLEX-PN today and it shut down at 85 questions. I freaked out and cried after. Cuz most of those questions were so different from what I reviewed. I guessed most of the questions. I read this post and I tried the PVT trick use an old credit card and said:" our record indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." I clicked submit order again and showed the same thing and it is been 4 hours afterI took the exam. Does thing a good pop out? I am in California and it is so so so stressed to wait the result.
