First, I just want to thank everyone that comes to this website to share his or her experience. This website literally keeps people alive and going during some tough times. You might not know it, but there are tens of people out there that quote this website each day.
My journey with the Nclex-RN in California started on the 2th of December. I took the Nclex, I went home and tried the PVT, and it gave me the good pop-up. 24 hours and 4 days later, I was still getting the good pop-up. A week passed and no result or license, I was anxious to say the least, as some of my classmates got their license within 48 - 72 hours after taking the exam.
I always came to this website to get some courage as the weeks rolled by. Finally on 31st of December, I got my license. The long wait was over.
My main reason of writing today is that through my experience, I found out that the pearson vue trick is not a trick. It is the way the computer is programmed. If one fails the Nclex, it will take your money or decline your card accordingly (for insufficient funds or being invalid). The so called trick works perfectly.
Secondly, If you live in California, and you get the good pop-up after 24 hours of taking the Nclex, you passed. The waiting time has to do with the BRN taking so much time to process files. Keep strong and keep faith, you will get your license.
My friend took nclex Saturday and she tried for quick result however it says exam under review. We tried for trick and it also give same error. I did trick myself couple weeks ago and it worked for me. Anyone know what is mean this error.

Hi! You are the first person I have seen say that someone got the good pop up and then failed. I just took mine today so reading this made me a little nervous! Was this recently? Do you happen to know how many questions they had? This 48 hour wait is going to drive me insane. This was the only thing giving me any peace of mind lol!
The number of questions anyone gets is utterly irrelevant, beyond the obvious that stopping at the minimum means someone either did very well or very poorly.
As for people who get the good pop up and later find out they fail, yes, it absolutely DOES happen, which is why we keep telling people repeatedly to NOT do the PVT prior to a full 24 hours after they finished their exam. PRIOR to your test being scored twice, all you know is the result of the first scoring, and that's not any answer at all, really.
If you do the PVT AFTER a full 24 hours and you see one pop up or the other....that's the one you're going to stick with.
I took my test at 1 pm was very confident. Got to 75 and shut off. This is the 2nd time I've taken the test I did the pvt after an hour and this is what I got.
I got all 265 questions, and 50-something SATA/Drag&drop questions...
I did the PVT and got the good pop.. has this happened to anyone.. IM GOING INSANE
At one point I didn't even hit submit and I thought I FAILED.. then I realized that I had to hit submit and I felt much better.. BUT IM GOING CRAZZZY !!!
I just took my NCLEX this morning at 8am, I've done the trick about 5 times throughout the day and I keep getting the good pop up!! I had all 265 questions and felt like I failed since all my classmates that passed had it shut off at 75-85 questions. I'm trying not to be to hopeful but based on everyone's posts I'm thinking I passed!! Can anyone tell me if they know for sure about people that still failed even thought they got the good pop up? Still really nervous...
I'm on the same boat... I just took mine.. I am getting the good pop-up but I'm still freaking out
I took the NCLEX yesterday morning-- tried the PVT 24 hours later, today, and got the good pop-up! Will update later with results. Keep your fingers crossed for me please!
