Pearson Vue: Bullies?

So I hear they killed the PVT. Seems unfair and mean. Target: desperate, impatient nursing grads. Showing off their power to make those grads pay a whole $8 to get their results like we had to do before the PVT.

So bullies?

I sat the NCLEX in 1992, and I still don't have my results. This is taking too long. I want a refund. :)

Seriously, though. I really would like to know my score. We were told no one would ever, ever be privvy to their exact score, because it could be used in a competitive manner for jobs. I'm sorry, but if I aced the test, I want the world to know, dammit.

I'm pretty sure I kept mine. I'll have to pull out my scrap books from back then and see if it's in one of them.

i don't recall any questions about beds or baths 30 years ago...but after answering a mandatory 800 questions over 2 days, who can recall any of the questions.

but, there were plenty of hard ones.

There weren't any of those type questions on boards then. They were all about oiling the lamps and stoking the fires.

The questions were subject specific so weakness in one area such as OB or psych would make you fail that section and the entire test. Ahh, those were the good old days.

I was about to answer a post....then read another one, and another one, and another one (kinda like one chip, you can't stop at just one, no matter how bad it is for you, right?).

I agree, Guttercat. I took the test in the same time period, and I never got my scores either. I've also always wanted them. I have in the recent past applied for an out of state license that required scores sent directly to that state's BON. I was told at the time if they send the scores to my home address by accident, don't open it. It is currently on my list of things to do-to contact the school and get my scores!

You know what really disappoints me?

The fact that NCLEX test-takers still can't get their scores. Twenty years later and I still want to know how many of those damnable 800 question I answered correctly.

But did you do well on the really important questions about proper posture for carrying the meal trays and the acceptable use of red jello?

I found my report; it gave the minimum passing score, then my score. I'm still positive I got a printout of how I did in each area, but I don't have it.

I don't recall getting any such report of where I did well and where I did not (I KNOW where I didn't, celiac disease----I got hammered on that!). In all honesty though, I have no burning desire to track down my test results. I passed, that's all I care about!

I'm assuming you took the NCLEX since you have listed you have 4 years of experience. We only get test reports if we fail. We got nothing if we passed. OCNRN63 has 29 yrs' year of experience and took the pencil/paper 2 day test. They got their scores.

I'm assuming you took the NCLEX since you have listed you have 4 years of experience. We only get test reports if we fail. We got nothing if we passed. OCNRN63 has 29 yrs' year of experience and took the pencil/paper 2 day test. They got their scores.

Me too :) NCLEX-PN in 2008 and NCLEX-RN in 2013 and lucky me, both were the 'newer' updated versions of the test and my RN is the one that they upped the passing score. Ughh.
