So I hear they killed the PVT. Seems unfair and mean. Target: desperate, impatient nursing grads. Showing off their power to make those grads pay a whole $8 to get their results like we had to do before the PVT.
So bullies?

I found my report; it gave the minimum passing score, then my score. I'm still positive I got a printout of how I did in each area, but I don't have it.
IIRC, it listed the individual score in 4 or more areas.... Psych, M/S, OB, Peds maybe?
When tested, the questions were all mixed together, then sorted out for results.
was 1600 the passing score?
no beds or baths sections.

The facts say you most likely passed if you get the minimum questions. It is unusual to fail at 85 questions for LVN. My license posted today so I am officially an LVN!

That's an urban legend. All completing at 85 (or 75 for NCLEX-RN) questions just means that you either proved entry level nurse competency with a statistical certainty by scoring above the passing level in all domains. Or that you were so significantly below the passing level in all domains that further queries would not alter the outcome.
The average number of questions completed by those that passed is around 120 +/- 2 for both NCLEX assessments, as per the statistics from 2012 published by the NCSBN.
'The facts at my school' the DON went to a conference recently and they said it is unusual to pass at 85 for LVN; At our school it is the norm, everyone in my class so far has passed at the 85 cut off.

I passed my LPN NCLEX at 85. My RN NCLEX was a very different story, LOL! I passed, but I'm sure I hit the 200 question point!
It's an anomaly that so many at your school passed at 85. Clearly your instructors are proud that so many classmates demonstrated competency as an entry level nurse with statistical significance at minimum questions.
Sadly this is NOT the norm. But if a majority of graduates pass at 85 (or is it those who graduated from your program who happen shut down at 85 pass) then like you said, it's a statistical anomaly that applies to your program. If I recall correctly from the NCSBN statistics less than 20% pass at minimum (85q) which would make sense since average is ~120q to pass. (And is consistent what your nursing director was told at the conference.).
Either way you passed another milestone in your nursing career and can now move forth and can begin working as a licensed nurse. Congratulations. Hopefully you have quick success in finding employment as a nurse !

We live in an instant world now. I am surprised there is no meter at the test clocking your progress. Hot, cold, hotter, colder..........
Bahahahaha!

The new DSM should have a new category:
