Pearson says... Pearson vue trick not accurate

Nursing Students NCLEX

I called Pearson about the Pearson Vue Trick and they said that although people have been able to use the trick as an "unofficial result", they themselves state that is is not accurate.

I did the PVT and it went straight to the credit card results. Should I believe what Pearson told me and not freak out just yet?

Well cc page is accurate!!!! Paid for the quick result today then status "fail". I didn't study at all so I didn't expect it to pass on the first try. Wanted to see and to feel how it was like taking the nclex first. Now I know what to work on, I didn't know I had a really bad test anxiety until I took the NClex. Lol. Taking the exam again at the end of August. Good luck taking the NCLEX. For those who failed like I did, sometimes God just have another plan for us first. ?

This makes absolutely ZERO sense, and in my experience when something makes no sense, it simply cannot be believed as truth. You threw away a couple of hundred dollars to "see how it would be", but didn't study at all for this? You could have taken a Kaplan online course in which you get hundreds of NCLEX test questions AND the computer screens are set up EXACTLY the way the NCLEX is, so you'd already know "how it felt" to take the test--without wasting alot of time and money.

Sorry, this just doesn't add up at all. If you studied and failed, so be it. If you didn't study and took the test "just because", that is ridiculous!

Agreed...in school, they told us NOT to do this...WOW.:no::no:

You, and every other NCLEX-taker, should forget the freaking out part entirely and get your results from the only definitive source, the board of nursing. So it might take an extra day or two. Oh, wow. Did you freak out because you didn't get your Christmas presents on December 22 right after you sat in Santa's lap at the mall? ?

This too shall pass. Patience is a virtue.

You took the words out of my mouth. Not only does this not make sense financially, it's detrimental to her institution. Colleges are measured by their NCLEX first attempt pass rates. I know mine most certainly cared a LOT about whether or not we passed because accreditation and their standing with the state matters. If that's really how this person approached the NCLEX, I fear for how she approaches her patient care.

Agreed!

I'm in Mississippi. I took my NCKEX-RN in June 2013. 84 questions. As soon as I made it to my car, I did the PVT from my phone and I got the good pop up. I kept checking every 3-4 hours just to make sure and I even tried to register for the NCLEX-PN ( I had already passed in 2009) just to see and again got the good pop up. That was on a Wednesday afternoon. That Friday morning, I was going to pay for quick results but when I checked at 6:30 that morning (I couldn't sleep, lol) it was still saying results not in but my license was posted on the BON website. So far, all of my classmates who have taken it and passed had their license number 2 days later. The ones who have failed all were sent to the CC page when doing the PVT.

Well it was accurate for me! I took my nclex Tuesday, got the "good" pop up and just found out I passed!!

one of my classmates did...and when she called Pearson about it they admitted that it was an easy way for them to make $200 because if you did the trick, re-registerd and paid and then found out you passed they don't give you the $200 back...

Sorry but I just don't believe that. Nobody that works at Pearson would say that, nor do they do that. Pearson Vue isn't interested in duping somebody out of $200 because they registered to take the test twice.

Trick worked for me too!!! Took my NCLEX PN on 7/18 (Thursday) computer shut off at 85 question, I walk out, got in my car and immediately tried the PVT, and got the good pop up!! Saturday morning checked the BON and there was my name and license #!!! :)

Well, I believe in the PVT also. Considering I'm from Cali which doesn't participate in the quick results, it was a no brainer. But there's nothing like that confirmation of seeing your name and license number on the BRN website.
