Pearson says... Pearson vue trick not accurate

Nursing Students NCLEX

I called Pearson about the Pearson Vue Trick and they said that although people have been able to use the trick as an "unofficial result", they themselves state that is is not accurate.

I did the PVT and it went straight to the credit card results. Should I believe what Pearson told me and not freak out just yet?

Pearson sends the results electronically to the BON. How long it takes to find out there depends on your BON. In 2007 I sat for the NCLEX in Texas while on a road trip after graduation. I called a daughter the next day while driving across West Texas and she read my license number to me that she looked up on the AZ BON website. My license arrived in the mail the next day. So in my case it was 24 hours to find out the results and 48 hours to license in hand!

I did the trick, got the good pop up. My state OK doesnt do quick results but my name was up on BON site 48 hours later. My temp license was void and the new one active

I can confirm that the pearson vue trick is accurate. I took nclex rn the end of May 2013 and got all 265 questions. I was worried but still had hope at that point. I immediately went home, saw that it said "delivery successful" and I got to the credit card page I was devastated...but it did ease the pain when the official results said fail. I retook my nclex yesterday, I got 75 questions. A TON of SATA questions, I again tried the pvt and it was the good pop up! It won't let you go to the cc page if you passed. I logged onto board of nursing website where it says open application, clicked on that and it says passed! So I'm a firm believer in this trick. Good luck everyone!

I hope the PVT is wrong in your case, but it wasn't in mine. I also got 75 questions with probably 50% SATA questions. Good luck!

this is what i did to make me feel better for those of you that are just waiting around for the actual results after having been directed to the credit card page.

i hate being in limbo (even though i JUST took it yesterday...) so i called to find out when the soonest i could get the results is. i called 7 different people at the BRN and finally got two consistent responses from BRN workers saying that my results were mailed out today (and again i just took it yesterday). i should be getting it in 3-5 business days.. but what i take comfort in is holding the official letter in my hand.. even if it says i failed that's fine cause sometimes all we need is solid proof to make something real. holding on to the little bit of hope IS really good.. so i'm not saying not to have hope.. but i understand how much it can hurt. so if you want, call and get some answers for yourself. and see what you can do, if anything, to speed up the process.

good luck everyone!

I hate you are going through this. I don't want to get anyone hopes up, so I will say that if you get credit card page, you failed. there have been very very very few urban-legend people who say that it wasn't the case with them, but that is the exception not the rule. Please do not be discouraged though. This year, starting April 1st, NCLEX announced they were making this exam harder, which would increase the failure rate. this was definitely the case with my graduating class...You WILL pass this exam second time around though. study, keep your head up. You can do this!

yeah my point was that its fine if i or anyone else failed, but if youre like me... having the actual proof in your hand or even just knowing when to expect it makes the wait not that bad. so yes i have prepared myself to know that i am going to receive a letter saying that i failed. but if thats fine cause at least i can look forward to at least moving on.

Completely agree that at least KNOWING for sure helps ease things, either way. Good luck to you and know that you are one of many. Says nothing how you will be as a RN. In fact, the best RN I followed during clinicals failed twice. And she was by far the most knowledgeable RN I ever met!

You do not need to put any credit card information into the computer in order to perform the Pearson Vue trick, so there's no way for them to charge you unless you are dumb enough to enter this information and then procede to submit it.

I had to put in my info before the "good pop up" came. When I tried to re register, it went to the CC page, then I entered my info, then said the "please contact your BON".

When I registered the first time for the exam, it asks to confirm your info, hence some people, like ME-who is FAR from DUMB-that had to repeat the same steps in order to get the "good pop up" OK?

So if you press submit after entering the CC info, and you get the good pop up, your CC doesn't go through.

I will agree, it's best to either wait or pay for the quick results. I did the quick results because one of my classmates wanted to know and kept bothering me about it; mind you I have taken the NCLEX before successfully, so I was willing to wait; never heard about the PVT, I just kept looking on the BON site, then did it with my classmate over the phone, playing cheerleader. It took two business days for it to appear...took NCLEX on a Thursday, was on the BON Tuesday morning 12:10 am. ?

Hmm when I did the trick, I definitely didn't even get to the CC page for the good pop up to show....

When I did the trick, it never even went to the credit card page. It was the screen that said enter if you took the NCLEX before, what is your school code, what test you are taking, what board are you applying to. Then click submit. You should get a pop up there. You should never be able to put one credit card number.

Now, this is last year, but that should not make a difference...*shrugs* but that's what happened to me. This is where some of the "CC pop up" false alarm issues come from a post here. The OP was from PA, and I am from PA...same thing happened, but I had to put in my info, the "cannot register, please contact your BON" pop up came in. It didn't charge my credit card.

Again another reason to sweat it out or pay for quick results....and not to rely on a "trick"
