Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

Does anyone know for sure if waitlisted or rejection emails will be sent out ?

I know we should all stay very optimistic about getting accepted. We still have until about the end of July and MAYBE August to still hear back. Remember some people may not accept the offer or may not be able to acquire the appropriate financial aid.

Although I still haven't heard back. I'm keeping my fingers crossed with the hopes that my 3.660 Science GPA, 90 overall on the HESI, and 820 on the CT. && not to mention (I mean not really trying to toot my own horn) but I finished ALL prereqs as well as the HESI in a two semester span.

All in all I have started my application for NYU as well as CNR just in case the end of July shows up and still nothing.

Good luck to all that's still waiting !!! && CONGRATS to those already accepted!!!

You have great scores, you should get in and I am impressed getting microbiology and AP in the same semester. I think CNR and NYU require some more classes than Lehman, I do not know specifically but Nutrition, Statistics and Psychology are usually required by Private colleges. But with your gpa you should expect an acceptance from Lehman

No, i logged in today and nothing.

There is definitely a high demand for the program and Lehman supply is extremely low.

I feel like I wasted my time, energy, sleep and money. As a second degree student I had to pay everything out of pocket.

And yes, I dont understand how they skipped students with 4.0 and accepted students with 3.8.

I was hopeful, since I have a 3.9 GPA... but as of right now, chances are zero to none.

Good Luck to everyone accepted! Do your best, remain strong! You can do it!

Thank you! Trust me Micro and A&P together was dreadful with Orgo on top of it as well as HIN. I have already taken Statistics and Psychology so I will only have to work towards Nutition. I am beginning my essays to transfer just in case because I absolutely can not wait another year to HOPEFULLY be accepted into Lehman program.

I completely feel what you mean about wasting time sleep and money. Because I was so determined, there was nights this past semester where I would not sleep due to studying and hw. Pushing myself to get the best grades I possibly can. Your GPA is amazing so I dont get why you didnt hear anything but we must remain positive and hopeful. Good luck!

Actually now that I read that we can hear from them in July or August.. my hope went back up.

Let's see .. fingers crossed!

The situation is frustrating because they did not explain the process and we have do not really know what and when we can expect from them.

What was your hesi score for each individual section?

What was your hesi score for each individual section?

I dont recall what I got individually, but it was a low overall score of 78 (that is why I decided to apply to other programs, just in case) I got 850 for CT.

I remained hopeful because multiple students mentioned that they look at CT and GPA

I've heard from the department themselves that you had to have 75 or higher in each section and over 800 for CT.

I've heard that too and overall it seems true. The only exceptions that have been made were for those with 4.0s who got a little under 800 on CT. The rest of their scores were super high.

I actually read that not too long ago. It is on their website. However during transfer orientation the counselor said Hesi passing score is 75. CT 800+ and GPA 3.7 were the requirements for the ABSN.

At this point, I think they can pick anybody, I havent gotten over the fact that there are people in here with perfect scores and were not accepted. Who knows what exactly they are taking into account.. but in the meantime #fingerscrossed

I was one of those exceptions! (Generic) 4.0, 90+ on the other sections and 770 CT. They definitely went by GPA this year.

It is so hard to figure out what they went by this year. Some students with 4.0 and good scores over has not been accepted. And others with 3.8 were accepted. It is quite confusing.

Lets see... I still think they could pick anybody, I open my email everyday thinking... will Lehman surprise me today lol
