Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

I thought it had to be through the American heart association?

What discount? where did you do yours?

I just went on AHA site, selected the one closest to me and then reserved a seat. A few min later I got an email with the directions for registration and payment. In that email they provided me with the discount, I think it is take10, or something.

It is AHA. It is just one of their affiliates. You will get your CPR card with AHA logo on it.

They are authorized by the AHA to teach the course. Your certificate and card both come from the AHA. If you go on the AHA site, you'll find a bunch of different locations that are authorized to teach the course.

I just realized @futurenurseinfo replied lol

Ohhh lol okay thank you both!

Hey how did you guys use castle branch for the background check and drug test? I can't seem to figure it out.

Hi all! I just found this conversation. I applied to Lehman for next fall and I was waiting for this week hear an answer. I see that the acceptance letters came earlier than expected and now I am feeling worried because I haven't hear from Lehman at all. I tried to call today, but nobody answered. Can someone confirm if they are done with the application process? Or if they are still sending emails or would send rejection letters? My science gpa is 3.5 :(

Thank you, and congratulations to all of you who have been admitted.

I'm still waiting also. Trying to keep my hopes up.

I just called this morning and they wouldn't give me any kind of update other than the process is still ongoing. I haven't heard anything and I thought I had a good chance with a 3.767 science gpa, CT 880, and overall Hesi of 95. I don't know my cumulative gpa as I'm a 2nd degree student. My friend's boyfriend got waitlisted last year and was far down on the list but still got accepted near the end of July. Apparently, they add more people right before and after orientation because people that are accepted drop out last minute, can't get financial aid, etc. I'm not sure what to think at this point and will definitely apply elsewhere in case I get an official rejection.

Someone wrote that they'll be sending out emails until the 28th. But as people mentioned, anythings possible. People have gotten accepted in July and August. I would still apply to other schools just in case.

Does anyone know for sure if waitlisted or rejection emails will be sent out ?

I know we should all stay very optimistic about getting accepted. We still have until about the end of July and MAYBE August to still hear back. Remember some people may not accept the offer or may not be able to acquire the appropriate financial aid.

Although I still haven't heard back. I'm keeping my fingers crossed with the hopes that my 3.660 Science GPA, 90 overall on the HESI, and 820 on the CT. && not to mention (I mean not really trying to toot my own horn) but I finished ALL prereqs as well as the HESI in a two semester span.

All in all I have started my application for NYU as well as CNR just in case the end of July shows up and still nothing.

Good luck to all that's still waiting !!! && CONGRATS to those already accepted!!!
