Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

I just called. And they said there are barely no seats left and they are not even no where near 3.5 gpa

That's weird because some people have high gpas (or at least higher than others who already got in) who still haven't gotten an email.

Yes. I called right before I posted. And that's what I was told. I asked, " so, I guess I should apply else where?" I was told I guess so, but you can still have hope.

I know. It's crazy. But it isn't fair. There should be a certain amount allotted for each group of gpas. Funny how the department and advisors tell everyone as long as you have a 3.5 gpa or higher with good hesi scores it's a great chance to get into the program. But because of 2 B's on someone's science the gpa lowers extensively to a 3.5. And the chance of getting in is out the window. We work out asses off and wait to be rejected. I am so happy for those who got accepted because it's well deserved. And I'm still keeping hope for myself and others.

as far as I know, we do not. My understanding is that the school purchases that for us.

It also states in the physical clearance form that only RN-BS, and Master's students need to purchase it.

so for those starting to get some of that checklist done. I did my background check and drug testing through that website suggested in the orientation packet. I submitted my order for the background check on Tuesday of this week and got my results yesterday. I'd say that's pretty quick. I printed the registration form for the drug-test and took it to my nearest labcorp site today and just had a urine test done. I was given a reciept and the person there told me they send the results to Lehman. I'll let you all know if I recieve anything that I can print as proof of results for the department.

For anyone looking for scrub pants, Fordham Uniforms on Fordham Road has a couple. I also saw that Walmart carries some.
