Hello my fellow nursing students. I will be starting my nursing classes on July 6. That's only 12 days from now! I'm both excited and nervous. We had our first orientation yesterday, well it was more like a meet and greet. I have been on YouTube all day looking at videos on nursing school supplies. So I will be starting my school shopping this week. When did you get your school supply list? I was hoping to get mine at orientation, but nope no list! I hope that we can keep each other encouraged through the process. Congratulations to everyone who got accepted into the program.
I'm not renting any of mine. I'm not sure which ones will be used throughout the program. Plus while we're studying for NCLEX, we may want to go back and reference our old books? I bought all mine used and they're older editions so they were cheap.
I also bought my books. I don't want to rent because i am a highlighting queen and i bought new for that reason too. I want my books for studying for NCLEX. besides we got a bundle of books and i want to be completly ready for that first day of school. i usually procrastinate but really am trying not too right now
Renting textbooks? I realize how much cheaper it is to rent textbooks. I just sometimes wonder if it's a good idea. Anyone here renting their textbooks instead of buying them?
From what I've heard, most of the books you get first semester will be used throughout the whole program. So I bought all of mine.

I bought my shoes for clinical! Ours have to be white. I bought the Skechers Sport with memory foam. I decided to go with the ones without laces--I figured the laces would probably get dirty easily and it'd be a pain to clean them. They're pretty comfortable! I'm considering getting some gel inserts, too.
Pharmacology sounds daunting, so I feel like I should get a head start. Does anyone know of a good website or youtube channel where I could start learning drug classes, etc.?
