It's time to open a book and start reading. Other people are not likely to do your homework for you.

If you come up with some ideas, well jump in to guide you, but won't do homework for you. Believe it or not, there is a great deal to be learned from putting together your NCPs in school. You'll probably never do another in the same way once you're out of school, but for now- you need to learn as much as possible.

Look in your NANDA book under those diagnosis. Most will list several nursing diagnosis that can be used for each medical diagnosis.

What do think? Respondents here will help you but you need to do your part by starting to do you homework YOURSELF.

What does your nsg research tell you? Have you done a pt assessment yet?

Nursing diagnoses do not depend on the medical diagnoses. They depend on your nursing assessment of the patient.

Look at the pathophysiology of each, what problems they might cause, and what could a nurse do about any of them.

Nursing care plan = what is the problem and what can I do about it?

    Sour Lemon: Amen!

Mmathieson: Shame on you, sugar--you need to learn and figure this out for yourself. That's why we go to school, to learn!

Open those books and edify yourself! Best of luck.

Look up the patho for both conditions see how they may or may not be related. Then think about how each condition will affect the patient. Once you have done this you should start to have an idea of what nursing diagnoses you would want to choose. I know that care plans can be difficult but they help you start to learn to think critically. Hang in there you can do this

daytonite was a wonderful nurse here on allnurses, she was what I call a nurses nurse. I would search this site for this person who I think has sadly passed away but her legacy of being a mentor continues in her past responses on this site. She had an ability to teach what a CP is all about and this should help you. You must understand nursing care plans I am a case manager and use them on a daily basis. They are like algebra you never know when you will need it and in nursing you will surely use CP routinely.

    10000 times THIS.

No nursing assessment = no nursing diagnosis. Stuff from books is pure speculation based on typical problems associated with the medical diagnosis. You patient will have their own unique way of dealing with their medical condition and may need help with any number of things.
