Too happily married here to be tempted to flirt. Especially with a doc.

My job is work, not play.

To busy anyway! Back in the day, nursing students and medical students flirted all the time ...but hey..that was 30 odd years ago and the world has moved on!

You're definitely right on that... tsk tsk...i just hope they have the same tract of in mind... hahaha... it's a good thing though... I was able to deal with it, without actually buying it... hahahaha:yeah:

I had observed a few subtle ways nurses flirt with doctors. Hehehe.

I think a lot of people are disappointed to find out that hospitals don't really run like they see on tv soap operas.

Once you're there, you understand the difference between fantasy and reality.

I don't have time to flirt, I usually don't have time to pee. If any of the staff who work on my unit have time to flirt I can always find a patient that needs feeding, talking to, bed making or even a storeroom that needs cleaning.

We don't flirt at our hospital. Except one nurse and she is great at her job and is able to open a door to meet the docs. (Most of the docs are married and older anyhow) She will introduce her orientees to the docs like they were her family. I found it beneficial in the long run.

However at a teaching hospital I did see alot of flirting. Young unmarried residents and the young nurses.

How can I blame them. They were attractive. However I never saw poor job performance from either side.

There is a time for everything. Just knowing when it is appropriate is key.

I never seen flirting between docs and nurses at the hospital I work at.

If anyone is seen flirting where I've worked, the charge nurse or unit manager could quickly find something for them to do! And...if it was an ongoing thing, the higher level managers would then figure out that we were overstaffed, so they would cut staff and believe me, like Sharrie said, who has time to flirt???
