1. There are no such things as day shift or night shift duties. We all should work as a team and not be so divisive.

2. I'm in the middle of clean c.diff doo doo and you're asking me for a temp stat?

3. I forgot to update one discharge on the discharge log yet it is okay for you the unit clerk to be disappearing for thirty, forty minutes at a time? I can't do your job and mine at the same time.

4. So you can go ahead and run your mouth off to management about me being ten minutes late but you can sleep on the job because....?

5. You called me to empty a foley when you were in the room a second ago? Really?

Just because you're having problems in your life & don't like the way I do things doesn't mean you can jump down my ***** throat! We are both equally busy! Oh & when they call an ICS, YOU can run your fat @$$ there if you want someone there ASAP. I'm pregnant & NOT about to run all the way to building 3! 1. Please stop flirting with the dietary staff while I'm trying to give you report. I don't care what you do in your time, but I want to leave.

2. Please eat your breakfast at home! You don't see me eating dinner when I get report at night. Oh that's right, I made sure to eat something before coming in! I don't want to wait around because you misplaced your brown sugar.

3. Stop interrupting me every other word when I'm giving you report. I don't want to forget important things you might need to know.

4. Save your inside jokes with other staff for when I leave...not when I'm giving report.

Please get up and help me when you see me running around like a mad person and all my call lights are going off at once. I know you think work is more of a social meet up with friends but I have patients that need help and I only have 1 set of hands.

Please stop taking breaks that last for an hour-your break is now affecting my break, another nurses break and treatments on your patients are now behind schedule.

Please don't ask me to cover multiple shifts for you so that you can have the weekend off then flat out refuse to do 1 shift for me when I had a wedding to go to because "my favourite show is on that night".

Please stop coming to work late for report EVERY SHIFT. Leave 5 mins earlier, get here 5 mins earlier it's not that hard.

Please don't interrupt my report until I'm finished.

Please don't come late to work then want to swap assignments after report has already begun. Again, 5 mins earlier..

Don't use your iphone at the desk.

Please don't roll your eyes and stomp away during report to get an iso-sign because I didn't know the pt was on iso. There was no order, annnnd I obviously love being in a pt room for the past 2hrs not knowing they are on ISO. Instead of being a *****, you could have said, hey did you not know they were on ISO? Here let me show you where I saw it..

Get off your iPad and answer the call light!!! (Again) this really bothers me.

I am great at blood draws, don't act like I'm not when you are searching for some help on a difficult stick. "Ehh, I don't know, they are tired of being stuck" maybe you should have asked me earlier, No sweat off my back..

I know you are sleeping in the bathroom, the chair facing the toilet makes it obvious..

Thank you to those that are always willing to help out when those select few that have been here for yrs are playing on their iPad or working on their homework and feel entitled to not get up and answer the bed alarms and call lights and are oblivious to what's going on around them..
