The same >650 lbs creature received 75 units of NovolinR plus tripled sliding scale before meals, plus 100 units Lantus q12h, with blood sugar never below 250. When it once fell at 190 or so, there were symptoms of hypoglycemia.

Very much alive, not sure for how long, though. List of Dx/conditions covering better part of standard A4.

Pt in DKA with Glucose of 1000 and ph 6.2; pt was a 7 yo who came in initially with change in mental status; parent thought pt was depressed; upon further assessment, parent reported that pt started peeing on themselves, and just thought they were regressing.

Yeah. Three times a day look at EMAR, then to syringe, then to EMAR again, and think "what the heck I' m gonna do - to kill that guy?" Nope, he gets it and happily plows his way through TWO meal trays at once - 6 carbs plus everything else which is not carb. Plus a couple supersizes from McDonald's a day brought by loving family. All that while being quite an amiable fellow with sense of humor and main idea of life that "I'm already suffering as it is, so why should I suffer even more from abstaining from things I just love to eat".

CO2 level 240. Alive. And woke up too with vent rate setting of 30.

Lipase of 2350. Main s/s was a spiking fever of 102 - 103 and 3/10 stomach pain. Unknown disposition.

Troponin of 9.1. Biggest complaint was hunger and fatigue.

Same pt. Abg ph 6.85, K+ 7.0. alive when she arrived via ambulance

Went from tachy to vtach to asystole in about 3 seconds

Lactic Acid of 43.6. Alive, as far as I know.

His glucose was also 19, our suspcion is that he was that low for a few days. Then he started anaerobically metabolizing. Can't prove it, of course, but sounds right. He wasn't hypotensive, tachycardic or tachypneic.
