So... I'm not planning on getting the leading two vaccines due to how they were tested and at least how Moderna was developed... Hopefully its not an issue anyway as I had covid already... Religious thing related to the fetal cell lines... hard to prove but I'm convinced it was used for the initial creation of the spike protein Moderna uses and for the testing for Pfizer.
Under what I remember from Biology... we don't have to be concerned about it altering our dna... Completely different tech from the gene editing they are doing and also the gene editing is only effective at a certain embryonic stage to my knowledge.
Has the actual data from the phase three trials actually been released yet? I've been looking for it to evaluate some of the crazy claims I've heard on it.
A co-worker played me some nutty recording in which multiple "doctors" of all sorts of crazy fields said "the vaccine is not proven to be safe or effective" and "this is not a real medical pandemic"
I would hazard a guess that no amount of testing would prove the safety or effectiveness to them. Also what in the world is a real pandemic if this isn't one? sounds scary.

I am here to only read, comment and learn...NOT to convince anyone or force my opinions...you know what they say about opinions, right??? The new mRNA technology directly injects the genes for the spike proteins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus into healthy cells to induce an immune response. My cells are my DNA!...DUH!

I know what they say about opinions. But not all opinions are created equal. Some are based on an accurate, dispassionate understanding of reality, while others can be based on believing false information, having a knowledge deficit about a particular subject matter, bias, prejudice or an emotional response like for example fear. Most of us probably move along that continuum and can tackle different situations differently, depending on the topic we’re having an opinion about at a particular point in time. Few, if any, people are 100% rational all the time, just as few people are likely 100% irrational all the time. And I understand how people can feel concern about a new type of vaccine.
If your cells are your DNA, does that mean you are against all pharmaceuticals? I’m assuming not since you said you took the flu vaccine. Your claim that an mRNA vaccine ”invades” a person’s DNA needs further explaining. Because it does not alter your DNA in any way. So what exactly do you mean when you say it invades your DNA exclamation point ?
If your definition of invading DNA is that a medication crosses the cell membrane then there are a host of medications that you can no longer in good conscience give to your patients. You’ll have to warn them that the statin pill you just handed them INVADES THEIR DNA and does nefarious things like inhibit HMG-CoA Reductase inside hepatic cells.
It’s your decision which of the present or future Covid vaccine you want to take. Or if you don’t want to take any of them. I just wish you’d stop spreading information that’s not accurate. At the very least you need to explain how you define the ”DNA invasion” you think a mRNA vaccine is capable of. Because that wording is bound to scare people who don’t have a solid grasp of pharmacodynamics or understand how the human cell functions.

I agree. After a long career in nursing I have observed personal beliefs influence the patient teaching of nurses. I worry about some of the fears of these nurses getting shared with patients and clouding their vaccination decision making.

You can watch and listen to the all day meeting including breaks. LOTs of information. I only watched off and on during the day it was held:

Cells contains cytoplasm and the nucleus. DNA is in the nucleus of the cell. mRNA never gets into the nucleus.

YES! And our blood cells have neither nucleus nor DNA.

Actually red blood cells have no DNA, but white blood cells do.

NO WAY WILL I DO THAT!
