Can I get a HOOYAH!
Share your vices and guilty pleasures.
For example: Every Sunday I order a Pizza and watch the Walking Dead.
(This post is in response to all of the "FIT" topics that I see)
- Oreos, yes! Especially the white fudge covered ones that come out at Christmas!
- White chocolate M&Ms
- Pumpkin Spice Hershey's Kisses
- PIZZA! Sometimes I order pizza more than twice a week
- Can we also say Domino's Cinnastix? I love those stupid things
- Cadbury Crème eggs, I could eat a dozen of those at a time
- Anything from Olive Garden
- Burgers... especially Wendy's Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger
- Jalapeno-flavored kettle-style potato chips, any brand
- Milano cookies
- I make a delicious homemade white queso dip, just saying
- Pesto pizza - take a pizza crust, some Buitoni or Digiorno pesto from the fridge section and cover the crust, and put some fresh goat cheese on there and bake. It's phenomenal and you will smell awful for days.
- Those little Nancy's quiches
- Loaded potato skins
- The Pecan Pie glazed pecans by Emerald that you can find at the grocery store
- Cake! Especially the store-made cakes at Harris Teeter... preferably the chocolate with the white non-whipped icing
- Cookie cakes from The Great American Cookie Company
- I love me some margaritas! Preferably pomegranate or watermelon flavored
- Fancy expensive cheeses... I love some garlic and herb Le Roule and Wensleydale with cranberries. I just don't love the price tag
And last but certainly not least - Ben & Jerry's Karamel Sutra ice cream. One side is vanilla/caramel flavored ice cream, the other side is rich chocolate ice cream with chocolate chunks, and straight down the middle is a core of pure caramel. If you don't like your flavors to mix in your mouth, you have to eat this one out of the pint. Unfortunately, eating it out of the pint usually means there's only one serving per container.
And of course The Walking Dead! It's only the best show on TV. :)
Well 22 years ago I lost 100 pounds the old fashioned way - diet and exercise the problem was I started out at over 300 pounds. I have three auto-immune disorders but have kept that 100 pounds off dispite minmal ability to exercise. In 2011 I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and pre-cancerous inflammatory cells in my sigmoid colon. After surgery to remove 18 inches of necrotic bowel i had to settle for eating what I could when I could. Sometimes old fasioned comfort food was all that would stay down.
Anyway a friend of my is doing nursing research on inflammation reduction and disease prvention through diet and I volunteered to join her study group. I am on a diet that is 70 percent plant based foods with grain only twice a week), 20 percent protein and 10 percent fat. I started to take the stairs at work and have lost several pounds and feel really good. Bowel function really regular, fibromyalgia pain markedly decreased and tons of energy. I'll meep you posted - but like another poster said I still like pizza.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better and that despite your success you are not judging. The world needs people like you.
I eat like crap sometimes. But I can afford to. My body is Amazing and I am the picture of perfect health. Perfect bmi. Body fat percentage at 17%. All of the women in my family age exceptionally well. Im hot and i know it! I DESERVE TO EAT THIS FAMILY SIZE BAG OF HOT CHEETO PUFFS IN ONE SITTING! lolol (me trying to convince myself that my eating habits are acceptable.)
Obesity kills. Let's not celebrate being a couch potato. Is it really fun to "commit suicide" over many years? I guess when you can't fit out your front door, you can have an enabler bring your truckloads of candy like the famous 1,000 pound man.Keep it real.
Migod! HOW did you know that just the other day, here I was snacking on a bucket of lard, when I suddenly started getting chest pains. Of course I dialed 911 and those nice firemen brought their backhoe to get me out of my house to take me to the ER. They let me polish off an apple pie before they hauled me away in the tractor trailer. Such nice boys!

How do you see your POV impacting over weight people and encouraging lasting change?
I'm currently having my weekly "**** weight watchers night" which so far has included KFC, and cookie time apriocot and chocolate cookies and sometime this evening chocolate yummyness.
I still manage to loose weight.
The ironic thing clinically speaking I am morbidly obese. I dont qualify for state funded bariatric surgery because I am too healthy. Dont have hypertension, diabetes or any of the other obesity related conditions.
Reality is for someone to make lasting change in their life, we have to work with them to find a 'buy in" because until the patient is ready to make the change, all the fat shaming in the world wont bring about that change.

Wine! Something salty! Like, cheese popcorn!
I don't crave sweet stuff so much but have to admit raw chocolate chip cookie dough is wonderful!!
I'm off call . . I've got the wine poured . . Grey's Anatomy is about to start!
Guilty as charged!
