New Mexico Licensure Question

Published

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!

Ei here's the latest email to me by ms vidaurri:

"There has been a new procedure put into place and I have not yet had to opportunity it to update the paperwork.. Transcripts will not be evaluated until applications and fingerprints have also been submitted due to the fact that the ratio of application to transcript is a bit upside down. I have more transcripts without the other paperwork than I should. I hope to have all paperwork updated this month. So sorry for the inconvenience that this may have caused you."

And wendy your're doing the right thing ^^ ill be sending my application forms too, this week! since the procedures has been changed. ^^

Thanks for the info! I did send my application. I feel sorry for us that we had wrong info and waited for nothing. I will tell you if I will get any results.

Probably best to ask your school what date it was sent, and then just send in your application. Otherwise it will be sitting at the NMBON and not be evaluated.

Hey! You were right and I was wrong. :)

Glad you got everything sorted out and submitted. Good luck with your application.

Happy that all issues has been straighten out.

One of the main purpose of our forums is to network and help each other out but this wouldn't prosper of no one posts it out in the open. Trying to resolve issues via PM is counter-productive and negates the very purpose of our forums. PMs should only be used for truly personal info. and nothing else.

If this issue has been out in the open before then it would have been resolved very quickly just like what has happened now. Just a matter of 1-2 days and case closed.

Is it necessary to have the application be notarized in US embassy or it can be done in our municipality or city hall? I am here in the Philippines and my place is quite far from Manila (US embassy).. I hope somebody can give me input on this....

it can be done by a local notary.

im sending my application forms today. i just want to ask,

what envelope should i use? brown? long or short?

NM BON address outside and my address too?

You can use any envelope. I used a brown long envelope since I used A4, placed NM BON's address and my address outside and sent it via Fedex.

ok thanks very much! ^^

You can use any envelope as long as your documents fit in and as long as the FP cards don't get folded. On the envelope, write NM BON's complete address and your return address too. You could also write a little note outside the envelope, perhaps at the bottom part, stating its contents (e.g. contents: NCLEX-RN application-foreign graduate) so that whoever gets it in the office knows where to put it instantly and knows which desk it should land on. Good luck!

what is SSN please?

And does NM requires a CGFNS certificate first?

And when sending your transcript, what should the purpose of your trancript says?

Should I really coordinate with my school that THEY should send my transcript to NM Board?

NM doesn't have a US SSN requirement and yes the school needs to send the transcripts and RLE (Clinicals) directly to the Boards. You will have to pay for the courier service though and for making the certified true copies of your TOR and RLE.

You will also need to send a seperate application of your own, plus the forms, f.print cards and the fees.

I recommend downloading and printing the application packet for you to fully understand the instructions. You will find the links to the application packets all over this thread. FBI f.print cards can be taken in the US Embassy.
