Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!
i asked about my transcripst. here is reply:
"the policy is to allow 35 days for transcript evaluation and 45-60 days of processing transcript and application. if you have not sent in the application yet you must wait the 35 days for results of the evaluation. i do not get them until this has been completed."
sabrina vidaurriclerk specialist, international exam - nclex-rn & pn so i am confused. what do we do?
Please be friendly w/ each other. I know the current situation maybe stressing and confusing a lot of applicants for NM. They seem to be in a transition period of some sorts and made a mistake of giving old info. together w/ the new one when they updated their website w/c resulted in confusion for their applicants.
Ms. Sabrina Vidaurri has already stated that she will be correcting it ASAP and I guess applicants would just have to do what her instructions are. She seems to be generally very quick in responding via e-mail.

Ei here's the latest email to me by ms vidaurri:
"There has been a new procedure put into place and I have not yet had to opportunity it to update the paperwork.. Transcripts will not be evaluated until applications and fingerprints have also been submitted due to the fact that the ratio of application to transcript is a bit upside down. I have more transcripts without the other paperwork than I should. I hope to have all paperwork updated this month. So sorry for the inconvenience that this may have caused you."
And wendy your're doing the right thing ^^ ill be sending my application forms too, this week! since the procedures has been changed. ^^

Mate, if you passed in MAY and do not yet have a license, I would be calling the NM BON. There's no way it should take more than a few weeks (plus postage to overseas if you are).

i asked ms vidaurri about the status of my application yesterday she replied this today:
"Have you submitted an application to the board and were they sent in just within the last 2 weeks? If they were submitted recently your transcripts will not be evaluated until matched up with the application."
I still havent submitted my application forms because in their website they said in the NONUSed form:
"Foreign transcripts must be evaluated before submitting exam applications to
the Board and to NCLEX. Upon approval of transcripts an additional fee of
$50.00 is required along with exam application fee to New Mexico Board of
Nursing."
but ms vidaurri's email is quite clear. TRANSCRIPT + APPLICATION FORMS + PAYMENT = Evaluation and processing of documents!
darn i wasted 3 weeks waiting. i should've submitted my forms earlier.
anyways hope this help for those who still waiting for their transcript to be evaluated!
