New Mexico Licensure Question

Hi everyone! I'm wondering if anyone here got to renew his/her NM license. I actually contacted the NM BON and here's the communication I had with them --

Question: I am a foreign RN license holder whose license will expire on

02/28/2009. Will I be eligible to renew it even without Social Security

number and 30 hours of continuing education?

Reply: You are required to have 30 hours of continuing education before

submitting your renewal form. If you still have obtained a social

security number you may still renew your nursing license.

If it's of any worth though, I was able to renew my RN license with IDFPR (Illinois), even without SSS, through their online facility. That's why I'm thinking if this could also be possible for my RN license with NM BON. :coollook:

thanks that's really informative coz i've been wondering with the ssn. so it's just okay to renew without the ssn? i've been planning to contact the nm bon but i've been too busy these days and still am. so wat are u planning on doing with ur nm license? oh btw, u mentioned ur license expired in february 2009. is that okay to have it renewed late already? or do we have to renew it before the expiration date?

hi, i'm trying to renew my NM license since it's expiring this coming January 2010. i got the renewal form already. i got a few CEUs from different nursing site and i got em for free but i'm thinking of buying one that is worth 30 hours already. would it be okay if i send all of my certificates just to make sure? i'm not even sure if the free CEUs are credited by NMBON.

hi! i need help in renewing my license.. i've read a lot of threads about renewing by NM BON and i came across a lot of people having problems with it. My license is expiring january 2010. I'm planning on renewing it this month as soon as i find out how to exactly do it. I already have a copy of the renewal form. I also have a few (free) CEs certificates. i'm thinking of buying one online that's worth 30 hours already. i'm confused thought.. would it be okay if i just send all the CE certificates i've gotten aside from the one i'm planning on buying online? coz i'm not even sure if some of them are credited by NM BON. i tried contacting them to clarify if they'll accept the ones i got right now, but they're not responding. anyway, i just want to make sure if that's just okay coz i dont wanna mess my application up as much as possible.

and oh, what else should i do after i fill up the form? which is better with the mode of payment?

ur response would be greatly appreciated.
