Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!

i am also planning to apply for licensure by exam in NM.i believe NM doesnt require CEs coz it's their BON who's going to evaluate for our credentials.however, i am planning to work in maryland.but maryland does require CES.my question is, is it possible if i will have my application in NM since both of them belongs to the compact state and be able to work in maryland through just going there even without endorsement? or i'd still be needing the CES if ever i will transfer in maryland? coz if im not mistaken, compact state means that there is no endorsement required anymore if you're going to tranfer to the state which also belongs to the compact.is this possible?i hope someone cud give me answer on this.thank u!

I would suggest doing a search on this forum regarding compact as it has been answered before and I don't think you can do it unless you have a residence in the NM and reside in that state, If doing it the way you describe you will not be able to do it. I am sure suzanne will be along with better information

Try these sites, they contain info about NCLEX including the Candidate Bulletin.
hello!i'm planning to have my evaluation in NM and i heard they give fast results from eligibility to ATT.I have no plans of having the local boards here in the philippines bcoz i'm planning to work in the states.my target location is Maryland but the state needs CES (which requires license verification from the country of nursing education).Since NM and MD are compact state,I decided to get an evalution from NM (which does not require CES) and be licensed there as soon as i pass the NCLEX.And if I pass, I am planning to transfer in MD.however,I worried about the CES requirement for licensure by exam of MD.is it possible that i transfer in MD once i get licensed to NM even if i didn't have their CES?does this apply to the compact state rule?i hope i could get an answer..thanks!
I don't think compact state has anything to do with it since you won't have a residence in NM. All you need to do is get you license in NM, then endorse it to Maryland.
You need to meet the Maryland BON requirements for Licensure by Endorsement, not by examination, since you already will have the exam written through NM. I cannot see on the MBON site that they require CES for endorsement.
I think that you have to be a NM resident (meaning you permanently reside there/rent a house there/you pay US taxes and use that address in your forms/have a US Driver's License and that address is the one listed as your permanent residence) so that the compact state thing could apply to you. But if you will endorse a NM license to MD, you would need a CES because that is one of their requirements according to their website.

1. "none" would be ok.
2. if you put a check there, it means what it says. if you don't, then it doesn't apply to you. this is explained in the 2-page instruction/requirements.
