New Mexico Licensure Question

Published

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!

is the mailing address of nm bon is 6301 indian school ne, suite 710 albuquerque, nm 87110>>>>for the tor and application

can I put together my application, fingerprintcards, authorization for background release, certificate of fingerprinting?

I just downloaded the fingerprint cards is it okay? because the website of bon says that they no longer send cards, just dowload it from the www.fbi.gov

i would just combine the $110 and $50 for the application right,so it would be $160....right?

for the request for graduate permit to practise on the application...i would leave it blank right?

i am having headache by reading the previous messages...if there would be someone with a good heart who knows everything about my question I would appreciate it thank you..more power

1. use the address printed on the forms.

2. put everything (including the bank draft) in one big/long brown envelope except of course the TOR which must come directly from your school straight to the BON. protect the fingerprint cards, these should not be folded by the mailman.

3. don't forget the fingerprint fee, i think it's $31. use bank draft payable to NM DPS. for the BON, the $160 can be paid thru credit card.

4 if you're not in the US, the graduate permit is of no use to you.

5. find time to get fingerprint cards from the US embassy forms window. bring your NM application form with you if they ask to see it.

haha kiko just trying to help.

Thank you Diane, Grace and to others who greatly helped me for my NM application. Today I got an email stating my transcripts are approved and I already mailed my application on the 23rd via Fedex. How can I track the progress of my application, I mean what's next, would there be an email regarding the ATT? I will appreciate any help especially from those people who went thru the same process ahead of me. Thank you guys!

They have a tracking number so you can check online or by calling FEDEX if the BON already received your application.

In 2 weeks to 2 months they will send you your eligibility. If you are worried that it is taking long, you can email them or call them.

If you have your eligibility from NM, you can register in pearson already and they will give you your ATT. The eligibility is valid for 1 year and the ATT only for 90 days. So before you register make sure you are ready to take the exam :p

God bless. :p

Thanks so much! I'll have to wait then for my eligibility card.

for philippine applicants, if you're going to get fingerprinted at NBI carriedo, they don't accept the downloaded form. they instructed me to get the cards from the us embassy even though i told them that NM BON allowed dowloaded fingerprint cards.

A Question Related To This:

How about those coming from Cebu, Davao or other far-off places such as Ilocos Norte? Do they have to go to Manila just to have fingerprinted?

Anyone here who has an experience as having been fingerprinted not in NBI Carriedo, please share your experience.

HI!!!

For those who have received their eligibility fr NM, is it indicated there that it is valid for a year before you can register at Pearsonvue?

Am just curious because If I receive mine in the future, I plan to delay it for a month or so before registering at Pearsonvue. Just to be sure that everythings okay & that I am ready for the NCLEX. I bought so many materials & I dont want them be put into waste so as much as possible, if given the time, I would like to go through all of them before sitting for the Exam of my life.hehehe

sakuji,

im from pampanga so i initially went to the regional office of the nbi. they asked the head of their office if they were allowed to do the fingerprinting for the nclex. the head replied that they had received a memo from the national office of the nbi that for fingerprinting purposes, i should go to their manila office. so i really didn't have any choice but to go to manila and its just 1.5 hours anyway from pampanga. incidentally, most of the people getting fingerprinted at nbi carriedo were applying through new mexico. you could try the regional office of the nbi near you, if they will do the fingerprinting.

chee,

yes once you have your eligibility, you can delay your application in pearson because it is valid for 1 year. :p But once you are registered only 90 days. goodluck. You can email them if you want to be sure.

thanks for your prompt reply.

by the way, im quite worried that i put NM as my primary state & the state where I intend to practice. i read from the threads that one should write Philippines instead. how about you? did you write NM or Phils? Also, did you receive your eligibility fr NM?

thank you so much.

I put Philippines as my primary state. My other friends put New Mexico.

we all received our eligibility already so I don't think you will have a problem. I'm pretty sure they know its just a mistake. If you feel nervous about it, don't hesistate to email or call them :p

Is there a number to call to order fingerprint cards? I requested by email over a month ago and never received them.
