New Mexico Licensure Question

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!

do you need to be a depositor of bpi or bdo to apply for a bank draft for this type of us transaction and did they ask you to pay them in dollars?

wat i know is pnb doesn't have that policy, but some branch managers are not aware of it.

i am not sure if you need to be a depositor or you can just buy the bank draft. the draft costs around 5 dollars. my mom has a dollar account in bpi family bank thats why i was able to get my draft there. the check is payable to citibank new york. my sister doesn't have a dollar account but she has an account there in bpi so she was able to get one i guess you don't need to have a dollar account.

my friends had problems too with the other banks eventhough they are depositors of that bank. they are looking for a dollar account and some paper works i heard. so my friends paid my mom in cash so they can get their drafts.

make sure you guys talk to the managers, some of the employees will not entertain you because they don't really know or they are just plain lazy hihi.

I understand that the certificate of eligibility is required only from US-school graduates (and not from non-US school graduates), as shown in the forms/instructions. For non-US school graduates, only the TOR needs to be sent by the school directly to the BON (and no forms to be filled out by the school, but schools' registrar/records officers usually include a cover letter addressed to the BON).

One may check out again the instructions/forms or may verify this directly from the BON.

what do you mean by cover letter?? what is the content of the cover letter that is to be mailed in the school

I still asked my registrar to fill out the certificate of eligibility, I guess it wont hurt if they mail it along with your transcripts.

ok my application:

1.) school credentials like TOR AND RLE from the school, I included the CERTIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY FOR GRADUATION OF NURSING PROGRAM (GRADUATES FROM STATE-APPROVED PROGAMS) because my friends want to include it but i think you don't have to. Kiko is right about that its for US graduates only. The school will send this to NM BON.

2.) - 2 page application

- 2 checks, (1) for New Mexico BON ($160) and (2) New Mexico department of public safety ($31)

- EXAMINATION PAYMENT FORM

- 2 fingerprint cards

- FINGERPRINT CERTIFICATE FORM

- notarized NATIONWIDE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK

what do i write in the "reason fingerprinted" in the fingerprint cards? do i leave the "employer" blank?

is the mailing address of nm bon is 6301 indian school ne, suite 710 albuquerque, nm 87110>>>>for the tor and application

can I put together my application, fingerprintcards, authorization for background release, certificate of fingerprinting?

I just downloaded the fingerprint cards is it okay? because the website of bon says that they no longer send cards, just dowload it from the www.fbi.gov

i would just combine the $110 and $50 for the application right,so it would be $160....right?

for the request for graduate permit to practise on the application...i would leave it blank right?

i am having headache by reading the previous messages...if there would be someone with a good heart who knows everything about my question I would appreciate it thank you..more power

for philippine applicants, if you're going to get fingerprinted at NBI carriedo, they don't accept the downloaded form. they instructed me to get the cards from the us embassy even though i told them that NM BON allowed dowloaded fingerprint cards.

so kiko88:uhoh3:.. can i use the bank draft that i got from metro bank..its in USD denomination..kse my application was way ready months ago .. but it made me think twice since in the NM application they dont accept demand draft.. could you pm me.. regarding this.. regards and God Bless

i see no problem with using that bank draft.

it can be a simple letter saying that your certified TOR is enclosed, the letter is signed by the school registrar and addressed to the bon. that's it.
