New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

TO JACKFIELDS:

Congratulations on the receipt of your visa! :) There is no confirmation for the May intake just yet. Which part of Baguio are you from? Are you with an agency or did you work out your application by yourself? :)

hi everyone!

I just want to clarify on some things concerning the AHPRA requirements:

1.) Do we really need to have our current employer sign the pages of our CV?

2.) Does the reference/publications part of the CV refer to people references (Dean, Chief Nursing Officer of hospital etc) ? what about the publications parts?

thank you so much guys! :)

hi everyone!

i just want to clarify on some things concerning the ahpra requirements:

1.) do we really need to have our current employer sign the pages of our cv?

if you can ask your employer to do that for you that will be great, but in my case ahpra honored my statement of service/certificate of employment from my employer and did not ask me to have my cv signed by my previous employers.

2.) does the reference/publications part of the cv refer to people references (dean, chief nursing officer of hospital etc) ? what about the publications parts?

reference - someone not related to you who can testify about your character and capability as nurse (eg dean, former supervisor..)

publications - my understanding on this is that- if you have any research/articles/thesis that have been published in a journal or by an accredited research organization/institution then you can add it as part of your cv just don't forget the include all the details (just like when you are citing a journal as part of your bibliography)

this is not the exact order but it must include all of these information

author/s (if you are not the only author add the name of other collaborators) .year of publication.title of research/article.page.edition.volume#,address and name of publisher.

if this is wrong then kindly correct me on this. i hope this answers your question.

does anyone know a friend who passed their ahpra application in ahpra-wa around end of august of early september that got their LOE's already?

as for my case, ahpra asked me for another cv with a signature of my employer. however, i explained that i am not considered as employed because i was a volunteer then. better have your employer signed it to be sure.

2.) does the reference/publications part of the cv refer to people references (dean, chief nursing officer of hospital etc) ? what about the publications parts

i only included references (books, internet) here. :)

thank you so much guys!

AHPRA finally replied... but their reply was still about the final approval... But I think, I should have included the inquiry number, so that they will follow-up my previous e-mail... I inquired again (thru their website) but now with the inquiry number... I hope their reply will be somehow different... Patience.. patience..patience...deep breathing then sigh...;)

Hi there, I have been following this trend for couple of months already and I am really glad that I did, since it helped me a lot in processing my application in AHPRA for the eligibility letter..

I would like to share that my application process took less that 2 months wherein I applied in Victoria.. I just received my letter of eligibility this morning.. I wish us all luck and progress.. I encourage you guys to apply in Victoria for it process very fast than expected..

I just have one question, Anyone here knows if there is a September/October intake on any Bridging Course on any school in Au? I am actually stuck in SG for work and planning to go there by that time..Thank you so much!..
