Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

@isingrnhi, I'm still on the application phase and since I'm also a US RN licensed in Vermont,
must I include the 'certification of registration or certification of good standing' from Vermont as well?
or only from PRC?
yes..
go to vermont board website and print the request form..
go to your bank (or your parent's bank) and request for bank draft equivalent to the fees required..
send the request form and bank draft by mail to vermont..
vermont will send it directly to ahpra..
no worries..
I think I know the agency that you're referring to
Why don't you just process the registration yourself? In that way you don't have to pay for the consultation fee. Then apply for a loan with the partner loaning firm for your BP expenses. Or better yet, find a company that will give you better interest rate :)
Really? The one in Ortigas? So it's 3% monthly interest? Now I know. They wouldn't tell me the interest rate when I went there. Said, they'll discuss it with me after I have the eligibility letter which is like 3-5 months from now or even longer. I guess I will look into other sources for my BP.
Anyway, I already went ahead with my AHPRA registration. By myself. One step at a time towards our Australian dream.
Hi everyone! i'm about to send my required documents for AHPRA, can anyone verify if TOR, RLE and course description are to be mailed directly by the school to AHPRA or is it ok if i'll include these certified docs in :confused:my AGOS-04? please help, im confused....
Hi Jedcarl, you can actually find the answer to your question in the AHPRA website, but yes, you can mail those docs directly to AHPRA.. cert of good standing (from the prc) though should be mailed by PRC to AHPRA... but don't take my word for it, confirm my response to you with the AHPRA website
hi everyone! i've been reading the posts on this forum for quite some time now, and i'm really thankful someone came up with this. I surely picked up a lot of information from various people; most of the questions i had regarding the process and all were answered comprehensively. i'm about to send my application to APHRA sometime this month or on june, but my friend and i have yet to decide on where we'd send our applications. I just hope everything goes well. Good luck and God bless. :)
katrinajeanRN;5175173]hi, i just read you're message. Very inspiring, can you help me? i want work in australia but I really lack experience. how did you do that?[/i]
Hi! I'm not even sure if you were referring to my message, because I myself am a noob/newbie here. It would help if you start reading this forum from page 1 (and finish everything if you can). a lot of the info came from members who know how the process goes. :) I still have a long way to go, believe me.
Hi, let me share to you my experience with AHPRA overnight. Well, it's actually true that declaring your US license may cause a little bit of headache, yes, honesty is still the best policy. Anyway, if you have already declared your license, they might require you to send the same thing they asked me ----> an evidence of my N-CLEX course done in the USA, which can either be a course completion, letter from the Board or transcript.I sent her an email explaining that I did not undergo any course or studies in the US, nor did I take any review classes for NCLEX, and I attached the certificate of license and the letter that MDBON has sent me stating that I passed.
I prayed so hard last night for my situation. In God's grace, my case manager replied to me this morning stating that I only need to send certified true copies of these documents and this should be sufficient.
I think you can also try doing that avoid delays. And ofcourse, pray well! :)
Thank you isingrn. That really is a blessing from God..:) when you meant letter, did you mean you just replied through their email or did you really send a formal letter of explanation?? I have sent them a copy of the letter from the california board which states that i passed but that they require SSN.. Im praying this will do... i haven't heard from them yet though.... God bless all our applications...=)
Yes, maybe we can be classmates. I don't have a particular school chosen for my BP as of now. I'm not sure about Melbourne though. But my BP would definitely have be in Victoria. Goodluck to us.
yeah goodluck to us... anywhere in Victoria too, I just prefer a school in Melbourne... Have you completed their requirements? or still in the process?

I communicate with my case manager through email, I send them an email every time I have questions and luckily, they reply back after a few hours or overnight. If you have a case manager already, following up on your application will be a lot easier. :)

1) this is the right approach (posted by marvsxxix)..
2) what if you fail to pay your loan?? first of all i expect this loan companies requires collateral for your loan, so if you fail to pay then you will lose your collateral..
3) if it is a collateral free loan like that of credit cards, then, that's better.. remember that you cannot be imprisoned just because you do not have the money to pay for your loan.. it's their problem collecting from you.. like if assuming i am crooked, i can decide to stop paying my credit card and they cannot do nothing while i am here in australia.. it is a long long and costly process for them to get me, and if they get me, all i have to do is to pay (i will not go through prison).. that's how it is, but of course i paid in full my loan.. (i know this because
i used to work in a financial institution, i know the loopholes so to speak)..
