Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hello Guys!
Thank you so much to all your advices, it really helps especially to those like me who is outdated in terms like this.
Can somebody tell me what are the requirements that I need to send in AHPRA in order for me to undergo BP in australia? And how long would it take for AHPRA to tell me if I am qualified or not, so that I can start searching for a school that offers bridging course.
Thank you in advance! :anpom:

hello. im a newbie here. i have a question regarding my ielts. i am currently waiting for my employment contract from my employer in a rural hospital in one of the states of australia. my ielts will expire in about a month. If my papers are filled in the immigration before my ielts expiration, will i be safe already? or should i just retake?it says in the english requirement for a 457 visa, that a minimum of 5 in all bands is all that is required unless it is required that a higher band be obtained when it is for registration, licensing or membership. im already ahpra registered. of course i should not aim for only 5 band score. what do you think? anyone? thanks
I have sent my documents to AHPRA vic office last April. Received three emails from them so far:1st, acknowledgment of receipt; 2nd, preliminary assessment; 3rd, evidence of employment offer. To the third email, I don't have a current offer so I continue waiting...
hey minja... i have just sent my application to AHPRA, though it was in ACT... i just would like to know the time frame when you received the 1st, 2nd and 3rd emails.. Like when or how many weeks after you lodges your applications did they start the preliminary assessment... I have just talked with an ACT-AHPRA operator and they assured me they have received my documents but couldn't give me a timeframe on when the assessment will take place since they had a backlog of applications... I hope you can enlighten me more regarding the waiting period since I know its quite different from those who lodged last year with the increasing number of applications and stuff.. I hope i did the right decision sending my application to ACT... God bless!:)

i assume that you formally sent a reply to them that you do not an employment offer yet.. so that they will know and go on to the next step of the process of your application..
