New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

thanx cioman! my parents are encouraging me to sign up with the consultancy since my cousins also signed up with them and they are now successfully settled in Aus...God willing, if i received my eligibility letter from AHPRA this year, they told me that i could be included in the January intake of BP...my grandparents will be the one 'sponsoring' me..hehehe...

but i think (just a little) that maybe, just maybe, the fee is too expensive...i hope that i'm making the right decision on this...

will a month of 12hour duty be considered as 2 months? It would be about 336 hours... If so I would just need a month to complete the minimum 3 months experience that AHPRA requires.

i think that depends on what is reflected in your certificate of employment, like for ex. jan 1 -mar 31. it will be 3 mos if it is stated you work for 3 mos (full time).

anyone with Vermont RN license here? pls tell me how you process for a verification of your license to be sent to AHPRA. your mailing fee and other fees, how you stated your request in your written request, etc. pls pm me or reply in the forum.

Hi. I'm also set to file for registration with AHPRA soon. My plan is to enroll for BP as soon as I have the eligibility letter. Hopefully, I get it in time for the January 2012 intake.

I´m also in the same boat as u are....hopefully I´ll be sending my docs to AHPRA next week and deeply mean to take jan 2012 BP:yeah:

Guys, I just want to ask, does the statement of service must be the original copy? regarding practice history, do we need to include internship and subjects that we took during college? thanks. :)

I´ll be sending my original copy of the SoS. About internship and subjects as theschool hasgiven me 2 original copies,I asked a notary public to certify them in English

@mhai...

They may not follow the same process handling the application documents but for sure the guidelines are similar. I am truly praying for a positive response for our application as well .. I have put so much heart in this endeavor.

Hi! Good day.

Just a query. Is a unit manager same as the head nurse???

Thanks :D

You know what we almost have the same luck! Let me provide the details..

Late April: Passed my application to Perth, Western Australia

May 17: Received an email from my registration officer that they received all necessary docs for registration and I just have to wait for the decision.

In my opinion, they are fast in processing than any other state in Australia.

Hope, this info helps nurses seeking prompt response from AHPRA.

Good News Guys!! I just received my eligibility letter from AHPRA Western Australia it is so fast and unexpected!

Here is my timeline:
