Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi Guys,
I've talked to a consultant who is more knowledgeable regarding this BP thing, I've asked him how about the IELTS and he told me that IELTS is no longer a requirement all I have to do is to pass a documents that came from my school in college and high school that will prove I am fluent in english. Is that true?
Hope to hear from you guys. Thank you.
thanx cioman! my parents are encouraging me to sign up with the consultancy since my cousins also signed up with them and they are now successfully settled in Aus...God willing, if i received my eligibility letter from AHPRA this year, they told me that i could be included in the January intake of BP...my grandparents will be the one 'sponsoring' me..hehehe...but i think (just a little) that maybe, just maybe, the fee is too expensive...i hope that i'm making the right decision on this...
Hi, blue_bunnie..
If you don't mind, could you please tell me what is the name of the consultancy that you've signed up with?
Thank you...

Your consultant is not more knowledgeable im afraid. It's clearly stated in the ahpra website that ielts is NOT required only for foreign educated nurses who graduated from places like UK, NZ, US, ....(etc.)... and the Philippines is not one of them.
Please don't take all the consultant's word hook like and sinker or from anyone else even people from this forum. You have to verify it for yourself. The ahpra website is just a few clicks away. All you have to do is be diligent in your research. If you just read the past posts from this thread, ielts has already been discussed several times....
Not only will ahpra require the ielts test results from you, the BP schools also require the ielts as prerequisite for enrollment. A score of 7 in all bands is the minimum. So I don't know which BP school your consultant is referring to...

I'm not really signed up with them yet...I will be going to Manila next week to hear their pitch that's why I'm asking members of this forum what they think about the offer and if it is reasonable...but most probably, I'll be signing up with them once the necessary orientation has been done...
It's ANSM Consultancy by the way...

Hi, is this the one in greenhills? I'm actually working with them right now. Hmmm..I must say, if you still have a choice, use this forum instead. This forum is more helpful than a consultancy who would just advise you the same thing you can read here, apparently I have already signed up with them before I've discovered this forum.

I've been with them when I started my application in October. They were actually referred to me by La Trobe University that's why I came to them. They have different packages per person. Their services? Hmm..it's as if you're doing it yourself. It makes the whole process slower cause instead of sending it directly to AHPRA, it will have to go through them, wait for other applicants to submit their papers then send all the applicant's documents in bulk. So I suggest, if you're not so busy, do it yourself. :)
hi guys. i'm a newbie here but followed this thread since last year. I've read everything and it really has been helpful. I am also planning to send the needed documents to ahpra this july, however I don't have any statement of service. I am now a volunteer in afp medical center, with 4 months experience. I want to send my documents but I'm afraid that having no SoS included would lead to disapproval of ahpra. I will get my SoS in September after we're done with our RN Residency. Do you guys think I can pass my registration now without SoS, or should wait til' I get my SoS? My IELTS would expire in July next year, I'm afraid that if I wait til' September, I have to retake IELTS all over again. Please help. Thank you.

So u've been with them for 7months already?hmmm...they told me that their time frame for their applicants is 2-6months only...at what stage r u now in ur application?i've already sent my application to AHPRA so that would not be included with what i'm going to pay them...do u know any other applicants who have successfully made it to Australia thru them?
Please be guided accordingly. It dose not say the the secondary education should be from the following countries
UK, US. ETC.
Yes AHPRA may give exemptions but BP providers requires an IELTS of 7 in all bands, except if you take the 18 months conversion program of which the IELTS is only 6 or 6.5 with no bands below 5.5 please verify with WLI William light Institute in Adelaide affiliated with the Uniersity of Ballarat in Victoria.

Yeah, 7 months. I'm still waiting for my eligibility letter from AHPRA, apparently they had problems with their Oz partner, which caused so much trouble for some nurses who signed up with them. My contract with them is actually void now, as my contract was between me and their Oz partner, oh well, long story. Hmm, they have showed me pics of successful applicants, I don't know them personally though.
