New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses

that agency, i knew of its existence even when i was not yet a OZ Rn.. they both have good stories and bad stories.. it boils down on where you will be classified after dealing with them, the good or the bad story..

the good and the bad...hopefully, my story would be a good one...thanx for the info cioman, somehow it gives me some relief...btw, do u know of other reputable agency/consultancy that assists nurses going to Australia?thnx!

Hey Guys! Just want to share that I've finally received a response from AHPRA. I sent my documents this February and up until today I haven't gotten any response. Not even a confirmation that theyve received my documents. It's 4 months of waiting till I finally got an e-mail from them. I need to send outstanding academic documents which I'm sure sent on last February too. Anyway, I'll just send the documents again. Good luck to all of us :-)

Hey marsnurse... which state did you send your application?? I just received my receipt of application too.. and that it is currently being assessed... God bless our applications!=)

I'm not really signed up with them yet...I will be going to Manila next week to hear their pitch that's why I'm asking members of this forum what they think about the offer and if it is reasonable...but most probably, I'll be signing up with them once the necessary orientation has been done...

It's ANSM Consultancy by the way...

Hi! i know this consultancy; it's in san juan, phils. my friends and i were referred to them by a friend. At first we were really decided to have them help us through the process. We went there once or twice to hear how things will go (they're pretty convincing) until we found this site. my friends and i then thought if we do it by ourselves, we would definitely save a lot.. a lot. but it won't hurt if you check them out yourself so that you'll have options. just weigh the pros and cons. Good luck and God bless! :)

tip for those who are prepared to apply to Ahpra. Apply to AHPRA WA because they process really fast..i have 2 friends who had their eligibility after 1 1/2 month of application. WA's eligibility also is for 2 years unlike other states such as victoria, qld, etc which gives only a year. #justwannashare
