> how much will you spend overall if you take the 2 year course? > how much will you spend if you do IELTS review 10x and take the ielts 10x? how much will you spend if you request for a special one-on-one session with your IELTS reviewer? compare the expenses.. > you want to spend and study diploma disability/aged care and later work as "caregiver" (nursing assistant)? And at work, here comes your fellow Filipino RN from an unknown provincial nursing school (like me) telling you to wipe the butt of a resident, and all this will happen because you did not get 7 in ielts? and deep in your heart you know that you are much better than me (which could really be true, i will not argue).. do you want that life/situation? > please read page 01 of this thread.. > apple is different from a TV.. student "visa" is different from bridging "course".. visa is visa(legal approval to stay in a country), course is course(field you will study).. different mammals.. > you can take the bridging course anytime you want as long as you comply with all the AHPRA requirements and as long as you get enrolled in a BP school... if you really want to get 7 ielts, after all your efforts, you still fail, well i am betting you did not spend 1-2 hours praying, right? i am right... at the end of the day, if you need help, and when everything fails, that's the time we remember to pray... if you are catholic, you should pray the rosary 2x a day, pray the angelus 3x a day, pray the 3-0-clock habit prayer.. etc. etc.... frankly speaking, people who could easily get what they want err do not need praying, but people like us, we need prayers.. it's your call.. good luck...

my apologies....... 1) pray that BON OLD MEHICO will reply to your query and hope they understand that you are requesting it for Aussie and not for USA.. 2) do they have a landline, better make a call, errr, expensive.... 3) if nothing happens, final solution is this: execute an affidavit or in Oz it is called "statutory declaration" saying/explaining the following: - that the BON OLD MEHICO do not issue this and that.....etc. - that BON OLD MEHICO as per their website, explicitly write that the "license/certification" is updated daily and would show if an RN is suspended blah blah or no problems.. - that this and that.. - that I, super kikay, to the best of my knowledge has no pending case, complaints blah lblah at BON OLD MEHICO.. so, such statutory declaration/affidavit shoud be signed by you and notarized.. this is the next best thing you can do if you could not get that verification thing... and of course pray... better prepare a draft of your affidavit while waiting for the ahpra email to you, so that by the time it is needed then you just have to notarized and send it.. you can scan the affidavit and email it as part of your reply and say that the original copy to follow..

the last time i checked, these are the basic rules to avoid undergoing BP in Australia: 1) Your BSN degree diploma must be: UK, Canada, South African, Zimbabwe, Singapore, Hongkong (not Philippines BSN degree). Query, are you or will you later on have a Canadian BSN diploma or not? 2) Just because you are a Canada RN or UK RN, if your BSN degree is from the Philippines then you must undergo BP.. Few years back, if a Filipino RN is an NCLEX passer or meaning a U.S. RN, he will be able to "endorse" his license to Australia and received his Aus.RN license without undergoing BP, meaning, he just have to send the needed documents, relax watch tv at home, after 2 weeks, check the website list of RNs and his name will be there as RN, then another 2 weeks, will receive the hot crispy copy of his Aus. RN license.. no sweat... that was before.. not now..

Simple Solution: Read the capitalized instruction you have written above... then follow said instruction (it says go to www.nursys.com and make your license verification request there). Follow said instruction = problem solved..

for migration purposes, experience should be paid employment.... if you become a PR in australia, there are options available for you to finance your BP.....

my personal general advice: 1)- review and study the basice nursing stuff, which you can do by simply using the nursing review books like gapuz,bersabe,balita.... just read review them hence you will "re-establish" your stock knowledge... 2)- you must and as in must master drug calculations... no excuses, you must be excellent in drug calc... the rest of the topics are pure australian subjects which you could only learn during BP..(unless you have australian books).. but the reality is you do not have access of those aussie books.. thus, just focus on no. 1 and 2 above, in that way, during BP you will just have to cope with Aussie topics (because you have already reviewed no. 1 and 2).. thatz all you can do for now considering your limited resources or access to aussie books.. but no worries you will be alright, a friend of mine survived, you can too..

depends on your visa.. check the expiry of your visa.. 456 visa allows you to stay 3mos. then must go home, if multiple 456 visa, then okey to go home and be back again, expensive though.. other option if your 456 expires is to apply for tourist visa to be allowed to stay.... in any country, remember the basic rule.... you cannot stay in a country if you do not have a valid visa, so know and obtain a visa.... for australia, read DIAC website for detials of the visa rules.. by the way, read the page 1 of this thread pls.. cheers!

457 processing is just around 3 weeks... normal... if you have problems like something wrong with medicals or that you are a criminal then your application will be delayed..

thank you for sharing the information..... i dont argue with your facts, i believe it... i just have some concern though for others who will be going out of our country, i would rather advise them to get OEC just to be sure, because i have first hand knowledge of RNs stopped at airport because they dont have OEC.. nonetheless if they know what you know as you posted now, then perhaps they could have solved their situation... anyway, it just boils down to preference of doing things depending on the situation... but at least coming from you, we now know the other solution of how to address this situation of OEC... cheers mate!

just ask for extension from the hospital, it is more tedious for them to kick you and look for another rn and process 457 again, they will wait.. congrats... count your blessings... pay forward..

1) i assume you also send a separate "certification of employment" duly signed by your employer... in this case, just wait for AHPRA's feedback... in the meantime, you may try to get a CV with employer's signature, if you can do so.. 2) TOR has "units", but most TOR does not show "number of hours of classroom/theory lecture".. now, do you reckon your TOR has that "hours" i mentioned? if not, then it does not comply with AHPRA's requirement. AHPRA wants "course description" for each nursing subjects, these information usually could be found in a document so-called as "syllabus".. RLE which is known here as "clinical", would show the number of hours of your "clinical" exposure.. I believe you sent the correct RLE, no worries.. The way i see it, AHPRA may still contact you for information you did not supply or your registrar failed to supply (i.e. no. of hours of classroom lecture).. So, recheck your documents, did it comply as what I described above? Good luck...
