Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
hello joy, i send NBV my last document (which is my cert of registration from PRC) last June 15 and they received it June 22. I got ther letter yesterday (july 20)...since my IELTS didnt qualify (I got 6.5 in Writing) I will study there in November this year and from there, I would take IELTS again...and do BP. I'm choosing between Deakin and Ramsay Healthcare because of cheap fee, maybe I'll finally decide when Im there...Im just hoping that my student visa will be approved, as I knew someone denied by the embassy:cry:....also RN like us...
Hi Farah, Congratulations for receiving your positive assessment from NBV. Is it possible to take the BP even without passing Ielts? I also got 6.5 in writting:cry:.
I am waiting for my qnc assessment. But I'm planning to submit my documents to NBV too as it seems that NBV provides faster processing. Please provide enlightenment. Thanks :wink2:

Hello Izay, unfortunately we cannot do BP without passing the IELTS...all hospitals and universities I know offering the BP require submission of IELTS TRF with all 7 ratings...
I think its impossible:nono: to do BP with grade below 7 in IELTS...so better retake when youre ready...
hi izay! farah is right, you need to have 7 in IELTS, better retake it. i took ielts several times coz of my writing (6.5) and fortunately i made it last april 2009. i'm sure you can make it too! :wink2:
anybody here who applied to ramsay health care? any updates in your application? :nuke:

Hello lecna, I applied in Ramsay, I had my phone interview just yesterday....they are nice to talk to and very friendly, however, in order to progress further my application, I need to give them copy of my IELTS TRF with all 7 ratings.... I think, im not yet ready to retake it, but i know i have to do it ASAP....as transition to National Reg. is coming next year...

Hi Farah, since you got your letter to enroll in a BP already. Does that mean, they can give you a letter of eligibility already even if you haven't passed IELTS yet ? I also have the same situation as you, my writing was a 6.0 . My amended forms and other requirements was received by NBV last June 12 but haven't heard from them yet until now.
Could it be that they needed my IELTS result? I just emailed them now so I'll update once i get a response from them. thank you!
Oh ok then. :) But are they still processing applications without it? Because I think that is the main concern of people who have their docx ready but have not taken IELTS yet or are waiting for their results.
Well, it happened to Farah...I'm not sure yet...i shot them an email just now, and hopefully i'll get a response.
i think it makes sense as well if they still process it and then in the letter just tell you , you can now enroll in a BP course for the next 2 years and take your IELTS (like what Farah described).... hmmm....wondring :typing:wink2:
WOW..thats pretty amazing for Farrah24...you were able to get through without IELTS yet...congratulations and good luck for your IELTS....as for me, i am just waiting for my second interview at ramsay...interview includes personal question and a clinical scenario of your specialty..i think everyone can make it as long as you have a good phone system and can hear them clearly....does anyone here knows where we can make loans for nurses? hu hu hu!!!!

I think she applied to NBV way before the new rules, so, I am guessing that the old rule applied to her where the IELTS score is not yet flat 7 - correct me here lol. I think it's a bit unfair to require others to pass IELTS and let others have the eligibility without it imho.
