I wonder if that means they would also be awarding applicants in the same order? I figured they would do this by need. Oh well. I guess I can expect an email (if I get one) in August! I'm just ready to know, one way or the other!

Amy. Are u sure this info is correct? The banking info verification emails last year seemed to go by need/ratio. If what u say is accurate I won't hear anything for a long time. I submitted my application around the 4th of Feb. I really thinking each time u call HRSA they'll tell u a different story.

That's just what the rep says that I spoke to this particular time. I feel like I have to call to keep my sanity or something like that. I don't know what the truth is. When I asked her if the emails were starting to go out now, she said "what emails?" And then I said the verification emails and emails that get your banking information. And she said, "Yes, they are going out. If you get selected for an award, right now it is just a waiting game.". And then right before I got off the phone, I was like, wait ma'am? Do they send out the emails like state by state or what?? And she said, "No, it is in order of the applications that came to them that were approved/selected." So basically I took that as if you sent in your application sooner (like me on January 4th), then you should get an email sooner? Does that sound right? I still have yet to get an email though, so I am trying not to get discouraged. But if anyone else hears anything otherwise, please share!!!

If that's true, that the emails go out according to need, I probably won't hear anything for awhile neither. Because my need is like 147% or something like that. So I don't know...I haven't heard anything yet so if anyone out there has heard anything or received an email, please let us who are waiting know.

Hi all! I have been watching this site for weeks now, and I'm ecstatic to say that I got a call today from nelrp. I missed it as I was asleep (nightshifter!) but they left me a number to call tomorrow. My mom called me with the info since that's who they were able to get ahold of, and I know it's not definite but I burst into tears on the phone, just knowing that I'm still in the running! Good luck all!

Yes please tell full details! I am constantly checking my email. I am starting to get so worried. I think my hopes were too high and now I just want to hear one way or the other. I can't believe this could go on until October!

I don't think HRSA calls anymore to verify banking info right? Maybe they are having trouble obtaining a payoff amt on one of leemar18's loans. Amy and Sara, I don't think there is ANY reason to be discouraged. No one (that we are aware of) has gotten a request for banking info yet. There is absolutely no reason to think you are out of the running. You are worrying WAY to early. Take deep, calming breaths!

They asked me to fax them disbursement information on one of my loans. I wasn't sure why since I had sent them that page already but they said they needed to see the full detailed disbursement report because they could only see the total amount for my federal loans. I have federal and sallie mae loans. So hopefully the rest of the information is enough! I don't know if anyone else has gotten any information requests yet but I hope it means I'm still in the running.
